How's this for pregnancy brain? I have driven over 200 miles today to interview candidates for a job, only to find that the interviews are next week. I didn't turn up on the wrong date, but i did sent the letters with the wrong dates!!
I am fuming with myself!!
Im sorry to laugh but that is funny :rotfl:;):D;)Opinions are like ar*eholes - everybody has one!!!!0 -

oh that's OK then cos it wasn't very good!!
gymfiend - r u not entitled to child tax credits? OH & I earn over £50k and we should get them
As I'm self employed and earnt quite well in the tax year before baby will arrive and my application will go in, I am entitled to a whopping 400 per year according to the calculator I just usedMaybe the year after we'll get more as I won't be working quite so intensively. This country pee's me right off sometimes!
Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0 -
Well i need to take some of my own advice and get up of my butt, i seem to have made a mess of the living room yet i have not done anything in here except a cuppa? Kids will be in soon so i will do the bathroom first then living room when they've had a snack.
Well as far as I'm concerned you can take a lot of credit for my tidy (almost) house! Got really quite into it and find it hard to stop even when the timer goes off. At this rate I'll be completely ready for bubs within days! Such a simple concept but it really does start things off in manageable chuncks and then snowballs. I'm sure it's not so easy every day mind as you've always got to summon up the motivation to start doing it in the first place. You could also just say to yourself that you will only do 15 mins and you will probably find you want to do more after.
Because of this nightmare pelvic thing it kind of put me off even starting any housework and have been falling behind with stuff for weeks but just doing a little bit at a time is not too scary :beer:0 -

If I drop two days my wage drops by £251 to £853 (doing 3 x 9 hour days) so making our wages £2003
Hmms it might not be as bad? I am in England so therefore would get £80 CHB and I think I get about £80 Tax Credits a month making our money £2163
Maybe we can do it?
I wanted to put babybean in Nursery for one day and with MIL one day and my mam the other, but I might have to forgoe the Nursery for now???
If your wages dropped down to £853 are you still only able to get £80 in TC? Could you wangle another day of childcare from one of the lucky grannies?
p.s. did I make up that you were in Scotland?!
p.p.s. not sure if you have a mortgage, but maybe you could take a payment holiday or switch to interest only for a while to try and save a few £s in the months post mat leave?Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0 -
no I scanned it in all ready but couldn't figure out how to! Had to make do with sending it to my boss and best mate instead lol
Kindof - have you worked out if you'll be entitled to working tax credits? Some employers have a scheme where you can buy nursery vouchers from your earnings before tax, making it cheaper for you.
My scan is at 9.30 but I wish I'd gone for an earlier one now coz I have lost the ability to lie in since being pregnant lol
Yeah I just worked it out using the part time wages and we would get £514 a year? using a fake date of 08/03/09 I dont quite understanf it lolDebt £30,823.48/£44,856.56 ~ 06/02/21 - 31.28% Paid OffMortgage (01/04/09 - 01/07/39)

If you upload the pic to www.photobucket.com you can then post it on here.
Once its uploaded it will give you a web hosting address, will start with http://******
Copy and paste that, then on here open a reply box and click the icon that looks like some mountains, underneath the bendy arrow lol.
Then paste the address in and it should put the pic in the reply box, then type and reply as normal

I'm not really one to talk since I'm not having one, but if you don't like hospitals so much, perhaps consider a HB for subsequent babies? DH hates hospitals too, so I understand 'cause I have to put up with his moaning every time he goes to one (which is ironic b/c he's been in hospital a few times whereas I never have & they don't both me!).
I have thought about a HB but I'm not sure as this is my first. I'm not a complete hospital hater, I just know I will want to be with hubby. Having said that the hospital seem to be very flexible on letting partners be there, and all the facilities we've seen look really good too.
We've had a letter saying each pic is £5 at our 20 week scan :eek:How's this for pregnancy brain? OMG, I cannot imagine how annoying that must be! So you have to drive all that way again?
A few weeks ago I thought pregnancy brain had caused me to make a major !!!!-up in sending one of my staff to another store. Turned out it was someone elses mistake and they just tried to blame my pg brain. Charming!
I've had a lovely day with OH today. We took a picnic to the beach and sat in the car and ate it. It was so sunny and peaceful- can't wait to take baby with us too!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Faye that made me laugh my brain is out of it at the moment to, forgot to tell OH to pick up DS so he will be stuck at mums for an hour.
Fidget i know what you mean sometimes your mind just wont engage to do the work.
Done well so far today Just finished bathroom, had a practice with the nappies they are so easy i don't get why people say they are difficult. Perhaps the washing when bubs is here will change that!!!Baby clothes have been boxed since the drawers need to go back. Kitchen sorted out and trying to decide on dinner. In the middle of sorting my clothes as i'm getting really annoyed at seeing stuff i cant fit into. Then need to tackle the hoover bag as it's full, which will no doubt lead to the kitchen needing done again lol[STRIKE]Little bump 3 on it's way[/STRIKE]:j

Hi Glam! :hello:
Gym - yes it was at the Town Hall!! Feel free to PM me if there's anything you want to know about it - I'll happily talk weddings all day! (and babies of course!)
Off home now anyway but may be on later0 -

Yesyou have to earn way less I think to affect tax credits
I think I am going to have to ask MIL to watch babybean for 2 days (she is retired) my mam only works 4 days a week so can watch babybean that day and I will have bean the 2 days I am off
lol yes you made up I was in scotalnd, I am from Northumberland so I am really not far from there lol
I do have a mortgage, but only took it out in April so dont think we would be able to do that yet? we are currently trying to get a repayment holiday on our loan
Our problem is we have too much our in our nameswe have a big loan, a car loan and 3 credit cards, so we are just going to have to work our asses off paying CCs off
Fingers crossed once weve been to the bank tomorrow they give us the 3 months repayment hol, cos that will help us get rid of 33% of our cc debt (once ccs are gone that will free up another £150 a mont)
