Out of interest, why do you think the doctor would suggest it though, if there wasn't some research somewhere which showed that the outcome for baby and mum is statistically better, than letting nature take its course?

I personally would ask questions about why they were recommending it, and if the reasons weren't compelling then I would discuss the risks of letting baby come when it was ready, but I would start with a completely open mind and certainly wouldn't be starting from the standpoint that I was going to refuse the intervention unless I could be convinced that it was necessary. It's come up here before I know, but why do so many pregnant women automatically mistrust the advice they are given?

Oh usually i'm pretty much a "whatever you say, you know best" kind of person which could probably be considered a bad thing!

The reason in this case that i would refuse is that their PCT obviously induces at 10 days whereas many other places do it at 14, so my logic would say that 14 days is still okay.
  • Who was it that posted the gender predictor?

i just tried it since i know my dates now and remembered about it. It said girl but i seen the evidence on the scan and it is definitely a boy lol

Finally caught up but damned if i can remember it all! :D

Good luck to Fitzio hope all goes well!!

Welcome to kenny and Merfe - SO glad kenny came back :rotfl::rotfl: I'm not mental wooo :laugh::laugh:

Rant alert - skip this bit!

Well i was offline last night cos the ex  got the train up to visit for the weekend to "give me a break and look after me".

Well maybe i'm being unreasonable but he didn't even comment on my bump which he hasn't seen for EIGHT weeks, only after 20 mins he said "oh you look a bit preggers!" Mmmmm ..... that's cos i am you dcikhead :mad::mad: So that got me off to a bad start cos i've not really got anyone in real life to talk to about the baby and thought he'd be so excisted to see how much i'd grown, big let down.

Then i had a hissy fit cos the dog was being naughty and he was too busy watching tv to intervene even though i was clearly stressed trying to get DS to bed and burst into tears. Then this morning DS woke up and he stayed in bed while i got up and made coffee. This SERIOUSLY peed me off because he's been living the life of pampered luxury while i've been on my own never having enough sleep or a lie in and he had made out like he was going to let me rest loads while he was here.

Then the !!!!!! ran himself a bath. I didn't say anything in case he was running it for me but nope, it was for him. Lovely, he gets a nice relaxing bath while i'm up sorting everyone out?!

Final straw came when i looked through his phone (i know, i know) to find he'd deleted all messages except the ones from me, then admitted deleting the msgs from the ex wife, THEN had the cheek to say i had no right to be angry. Obviously has something to hide. So he's gone, and i will never be fooled again by this idiot.

Probably sounds so trivial written on here but i can't believe how low he has stooped, i should have trusted my instincts but as always he convinced me my instincts were wrong!!! :(:(:(

Ouch i told myself i wouldn't go into this, but i got carried away :o
  • So he came up to give you a break and look after you, but didn't?

**hugs** i dont really know what is going on, but he sounds like a kn0b and your to good for him :)

Beenie - forgive me if I overstep the line here, but why do you let him back in your home? Even if you're okay with it, surely it's not good for your DS to have this back-and-forth thing going on between you two. Seems like it would be better for him to have stability one way or the other as it's probably upsetting him. I know it's really hard to be strong especially when prospect of warm body in bed is there, but at some point you will have to either cut ties completely or have amicable visitation agreements. :( *hugs*

weezl - will log onto FB now and try and add you! How cute that you're Fergie :)

  • AWW beenie sorry to hear things were carp but i'm not surprised my OH is the same and we are living together lol lol Honestly sometimes i think i would have an easier life without him. I can imagine what you were like this morning as i end up like it myself. I always have to kick OH up the butt to get him into action like the other day with all the running around with my sis the house was a tip, i had tried to tidy a bit the night before i went to bed and when i got up the next morning it was worse.

So i lied i called OH from my mums and said she was stressed needing a break so i was binging her up for lunch:p When i got home he had hoovered tidied the living room and done the dishes even had cups out for our coffee lol Didn't tell him it was a great big lie about mum just said she couldn't bring herself to leave sis. So i may use it again next week if i fall behind again lol:rotfl:

Although that makes him sound bad i guess i am a bit of a nightmare too, no angel here lol I get really annoyed if things are put in the wrong place clean clothes kitchen utensils etc and no one is allowed to use my knifes if cooking or their is war. And i have been known to redo stuff they have done, dishes windows ironing and i hate the way OH hangs clothing to dry. guess i'm a mad women lol

    EA is IS a knob!

aless, you're right. I have no idea why i thought things would be different. DS thinks he came up to help me decorate, and he's away cos he's working, but he does know we don't always get on even though we don't argue in front of him. Well he heard a little today which makes me so angry at myself. He is just so good at talking crap on the phone, he's been ringing me, getting his mum to ring me - acting like everyone is so concerned about me cos they know i've been so low, so ringing me to promise me the world, he'd make it better, he promised me he wouldn't push me into anything and that we could take it slowly and try to rebuild things.

He was meant to be decorating the kitchen to give me a boost into doing the rest of the house but he's not even so much as made me a cup of tea. I sound like a spoinlt brat but i'm so bitter because he's staying with family who do EVERYTHING for him and treat him like a 3 yr old and i would love for someone to make me a cup of tea just once.

I just know that his lies and selfishness will never go away, it's like he's got a split personality, soooooo nice and yet such an evil moron. :(
