There is also the German Christmas market in Edinburgh at that time. Is the big wheel up by then? I went last year about that time and Edinburgh was lovely.

I find that the German market isn't that good in terms of the presents etc you can buy but the food is amazing :D

The wheel should be up by then. Go up about 4pm to watch the sunset, it's lovely!

I was gonna suggest this - but didn't know if it would be appropriate!

Its gorgeous and the mulled wine is nice - :)

Currently seeing if I can get down for some 'IT training' on the Friday (ie work will pay) and then stay for the weekend - very MSE eh?

    Fingers crossed.

Hiya, just found this! Can anyone come, as in non-MSE people? I might need to bring my OH, as I get scared in Edinburgh on my ownsome - the short story, was walking around Edinburgh, after being separated from my sister (been at a hen-nite), dressed as a French Maid (were also at Rocky Horror Show), trying to find my hotel! I was crying like a baby! Don't know anyone, but would love to come if that's ok!
