You need to look at your consumption James. Start taking readings on a regular basis.
I live solo, home all day, with all the usual gizmos 3 bed semi , about 1100 kwh per year at 12.747pence inc vat no standing charge with Ebico. No oven/hob tho and shower not bath. More radio than tv.
Make up a flask each day instead of kettle on all the time. Can be done.0 -
£295 a year how do you work that im paying £1000 plus a year
jamesy i dont follow you???
i didnt say you were paying a grand a year????
i said my electric bill is around £295 per year (i use around 2250kwh) 2 adults living here, my last quarterly bill was £65 with ebico for electric which i pay at the post office.
my gas is also with ebico, last gas bill was £24 for 3 month, 19000 kwh per year is about £695 with ebico for gas, although it will be a lot less now as ive had a new boiler fitted and i am more carefull than ever with heating, estimating 15000kwh per year from now on.
dig your old bills out and work out how many kwh of gas and electric your using per year. if you havent got your old bills then ask your supplier. then use comparison sites, i like energyhelpline.0
