I wouldn't bother. He may not still be there. He probably won't even remember you. Your just end up looking stupid and embrassed. Also its funny how these things come around. Ten years time you could go for an interview for the job of your life and he is the one interviewing you.0

To cut a long story short, I bought a phone for my daughter, it broke and this snotty little manager at CPW refused to change it or refund me because they said I dropped it. He was really rude to me and just stood smirking when I asked him whether he considered it good customer services to be so rude to someone and accuse them of breaking thheir own phone. He also accused me of blackmail when I said I wouldnt go back there.
3 months later, after taking them to court (it didnt get quite as far as court) - they have refunded me, plus my costs.
I really want this silly little man to know that I have won, and that he was wrong...
Can anyone think of anything witty to say when I go in there tomorrow?
Or am I just a sad woman who should get a life?:D
Nope - quite justified, IMO.
That said, you might find yourself in an uncomfortable situation there in the flesh, and you probably won't want any verbal from him, not after this.
Have you considered popping a dog-turd in the post for him?0 -

I do not advise this even if it is a joke especially if his kids get it in their eyes.0 -
oh PLEASE on your way to your CPW can you call into the COVENTRY branch and tell the VERY snotty little "manager" that I ALSO got my money back AND got to keep my faulty phone ( which miraculously fixed itself after being switched off for 3 months - honestly!)
I couldn't be bothered to drive out of my way to tell him - but you've reminded me what a LOVELY feeling it was to have a FULL REFUND on my 5 month old Nokia phone............................................after them telling me I couldn't
oh happy days.......................
Did they just give you your money back or did you have to start court proceedings? there was no way they were going to pay me out without!0 -

Actually I could do quite a lot with turning around CPW and teaching them a bit about Customer ServiceI know what you mean, but honestly I would rather starve to death than be interviewed by him, so I am not really bothered about that...

well I was incensed actually - I'll give brief story
had Nokia phone for 5 months - answers a call one day - can't hear a thing and an odd symbol appeared on the screen ( sorry NOT a technical person) took it into shop and was told it appeared the phone thought it had headphones plugged in and it needed a software upgrade - take it to the "regional repair centre" - trudges off there, they "upgrade softwear" and it's ok.............for 2 days then headphones symbol appears again and I can't hear anyone calling me
they then say they will replace the phone............with a reconditioned one - which makes me VERY cross as I bought a NEW phone NOT a reconditioned one, why should I accept a recon one
anyway - they wouldn't do anything so I left the shop and phoned HO
what a joke - got everyone from the "couldn't give a damn" school of customer service - so i checked online and got MD's name and wrote personal vitriolic letter telling him their "standards of customer service levels" which were outlined on the website were a complete fairy story.
got a letter back - my name and address - completely different model number of phone and complaint - obviously my name, but someone elses reply !
phoned them up and demanded to be put through to escalation department ( or whatever it's called) and spent a lovely 15 minutes telling the woman JUST what i thought of CPW and that if they were so broke they were refusing customers their statutory rights ( refund or reoplacement with like for like) they were obviously in dire financial straits
and I didn't mind them having my money as they obviously needed it more than me........and that HAD I been offered a refund or gesture of goodwill for all my trips to the "regional repair centre" to deal with the phone, i would only have given it to my favourite charity............
she was really angry and at GREAT pains to tell me CPW were NOT in dire financial straits and they COULD refund my money - so i called her bluff and told her to send a cheque to my favourite charity as i had already bought a new phone from Argos....................( I hadn't at that point)
she said she would send me the cheque as a refund as they couldn't send a cheque to charity on my behalf (?!) and I could pass it onto my charity
so i got a refund of about £90 IN MY NAME !- sent the money to the charity I volunteer for and was happy to do so.
The funny thing was after about 3 months of using an old phone, I happened to find the faulty one and switched it on and it has worked fine ever since !!!!!!!! :rotfl:
you couldn't make it up could you!:rolleyes:0 -
