Before OH moved in we used to see each other every other weekend as he lived in Essex and I live in Devon. Even though it was exciting at first, waiting for our weekends, it soon got to the stage when we really really missed each other.

I now see him every single day which is exactly how I like it!! :)

  • For us, its slightly different.
My OH is in the military, so although we live together, there are times like now when he is away until january, but he was at home every night from last christmas til he left at the beginning of the month, so i can cope with him being away for a while. I think with him being away occasionally we appreciate the time we have together more, and do nice things like weekends away that maybe we wouldnt if he was there all the time!
  • When I first started seeing my other half, we only saw one another on Saturdays, then after a couple of months it was Saturday/Sunday. A few months later, I stayed at his from Friday until Monday and then suddenly a mid week stop over also slotted in to the routine. Soon I was paying £400 a month rent for a flat I spent 12 nights a month in. So he asked me to move in with him.

Now I see him every day, I get up at 6.30am to make his packed lunch and his dinner is ready when he gets home at 6.30pm. I work from home so him arriving home is what I look forward to.

Theres been a couple of threads today about relationships, age gaps and longevity etc..

So I was wondering how often do you see your OH.. ??

Mine is working abroad at the moment so I see mine every 2 weeks!

We've done that, it was hard. Longest has been a month, and we didn't like it one bit. Now we are both in the same country but he works away Monday-friday. I drive him to the station on Monday morning, and pick up on friday, so its only three days we don't see each other at all. Before a change in career that lead to all this we saw each other all the time, living together, working together, never had more than two days apart for a couple of years. The he returned to university, and we started to have more days apart. In an ideal word we'd lie together full time but its not possible for us to have the expensive hobbies we have, for me to entertain working in my (rural) industry again while his work is London (or other financial centre) . We try and concentrate on the plus sides of living apart: we have butterlies in our tummies every friday, having been together for 6/7 years and every weekend is eciting and wonderful.

Drop hubby off at airport on Mondays mornings (6am!) pick him up Friday night, 8pm.
Sucks, but he's got a great, stable, high earning job.
No way he could give it up but I still miss him desperately.
    Guess it's not forever.

whoops! :o well, live together, stay in bed together for ever, both would be fun. :)
  • I see mine every day as we live together, but prior to that it was only weekends and one night in the week as we lived in different cities.

I know a couple who have been married for 2 years and have NEVER lived together.
