Lottery Win

On csa2, a lottery win by you would never change the assessment upwards - it could go downwards as your tax credits would be reduced due to the interest you do receive.Dancing_Shoes wrote: »Also when I spoke to our caseworker at the CSA and asked about my money I was told that I was not in any way liable for the NRP's children (we are on CS2). I find it incredible that if I won the lottery (in my sole name) and paid it into a sole account that our pwc would have any claim on MY money
, of course feelings for her aside I would willingly invest money for the NRP's children and continue to pay the maintenance (as we always have done) because it would be the right thing to do for them but I object to being told to do it (iyswim). So in a court if I won the lottery would it be the same percentages as the CSA i.e 8% of the interest (if that is right:o) or would she be entitled to more?

No it wouldn't !
 you cant say that and then leggit:eek: we must know where it would go, we have rules round here young man, protocal and manners:D and we are waiting for an expanations, also, I am appointing myself PM of the joint and DS you will not be allowed to leggit even after your 10 million lottery win so thats it you told. we'll want a weekly blog of your exploits on your private holiday island aboard the (dis)loyal yacht dancing shoes Blob is not allowed to argue with Kelloggs ever again;)
and Marksoton, this is for you No it wouldnt ...... (leave explanation/reason here please)
and Lizzie thanks. I knew it would make sense when someone told me but I couldnt guess qualifying child, all I kept coming up with was quincy:o :rotfl:0 -
You missed the flow of inheritees.
NRRP dies = NRP inherits
NRP then dies = child inherits
Child then dies = pwc inherits
CMAC put each death at 10 minutes apart to show the point.
Fair enough, but it wouldn't work like that anyway. If the lottery win is an asset of the NRPP it would go to the nearest blood relative rather than pass through transference like that.0 -
