Question about cashback
Hi I have been in a contract for 12 months and had an issue where my service provider wasn't providing good enough coverage after about 3 months of trying to get them to cancel my contract they agreed the signal was insufficient so they cancelled my contract. I bought the phone through dialaphone and have claimed my first 2 cashbacks however I still have another 3 to claim back but obviously I won't have the bills or anything...am I entitiled to this cashback as it was my service provider that broke the terms and conditions of my contract? as I know if I chose say a Nintendo Wii as a gift instead of the cashback I would still get to keep that so surely I am entitled to the cashback? thanks

the contract was an 18 month contract I forgot to mention that above0

Your contract with Dial-a-phone is reliant upon you sending your bills in. Whereas I agree with you about the Nintendo - or even an autocashback - you are unable to keep your side of the contract, for whatever reason, so Dial-a-phone are perfectly entitled to refuse your cashbacks and keep the ££££..........I bought the phone through dialaphone and have claimed my first 2 cashbacks however I still have another 3 to claim back but obviously I won't have the bills or anything...am I entitiled to this cashback
Nice try, though !

Unfortunately dial-a-phone give the bigger cash back at the end of the contract, so cancelling earlier effectively increasing your monthly bill.
But that said, they will only pay out with a bill so you won't be able to claim it, i wouldn't advise you try to fake any bills either.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

This is the best one I have heard....0

I wouldn't go as far as fake any bills, if I can get some of it back then great, just I feel a little hard done by because like I said any other gift I would get to keep, I might give them a call and see if we can come to some sort of agreement0

mjs80, stop it you are making me laugh.
I mean honestly - you entered a contract and you broke it - end of story.0 -
From my dial-a-phone account.
https://www.dialaphone.co.uk/myaccount/faq.aspx#I have changed my tariff/price plan, will this affect my redemption?
If you have change your price plan but your line has remain connected you can still send in your bills as per your contract. The amount you are paid will not change in reflection with your new tariff charges.
No Contract -> No Line -> No cashbackAlthough no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

I did not break the contract if you read my first post my service provider broke the terms and conditions of my contract hence why I didn't have to pay a fee to end my contract. if you actually do your research you will see people actually get to keep these gifts however I am not sure about the cashback as it by redemption but I don't see why I should be penalised for choosing this gift. sometimes you get idiots on these forums no need to go over the top I am asking for advice....it is a money saving forum after all!0

On that basis we should all be doing this - enter a contract with cashback ofer, cancel the contract and then go back and ask for the freebie or money for nothing. :rolleyes:0
