The giving up/cutting down alcohol support thread! Part 5

:hello::hello::hello::hello: to virtual friends old and new.
So you moved home while I was on holiday!! What does that tell me?
Good to be back. I had a great holiday, weather super except for some spectacular thunderstorms. Drinking was moderate. Generally, on holiday, I'm waiting for 12 o'clock before starting on the alcohol big-time. While I have no AF days to report, I was moderate. I drank coffee in cafes and had a single, teeny-weeny glass some lunchtimes and I wasn't looking longingly at shared carafes wanting more than my fair share. Absolutley no hangovers so all in all my cutting-down is working and becoming a genuine habit. Thanks all :A
I'm not even going to try to catch up on three weeks of posts. I'm sure you'll all tell me if there's anything I urgently need to know. I'm planning my October target and will post it later (Fay?). Have a good evening everyone.0 -
I didn't know we had moved because I subscribe to the thread and access it through my CP
Who decided this?
I only stumbled on it when I get seeing it on the front of the board and eventually decided to have a look and then sign up. If it had been in the diaries section then I don't think I would have ever seen it as I don't usually look in this section and I would have ignored it.
Plus we are now linking it to money/debt=stress/anxiety = drinking more
Anyway posting my final AFD for Sept making it 18 for the month, missing the target by 4. Means I drank for 12 days this month in total and AF for 18 days.
Forgot to say
Big thank you to Yellow Monkey for scoring for this month. All the hard work is much appreciated! Could the person who made the decision please explain to us the reasons behind the move?
.
It took me ages to find this thread again just now.:o

Hello!
I also am miffed about the move. I would not have found this thread if it hadn't been where it was.
My switch card is still 100 miles away and I still haven't gone to the bank to sort out some cash so simply didn't have enough money today to buy anything else except can of beans and bottle of ginger ale. Which means that it is 30 days for me YM!!! YM thank you so much for such a great job of scoring my first month in this thread.
Week from today I should be in BR court but since booking it BF has promsed to borrow me money for F&F. I have made offers to all creditors and they have been veeeeeery quiet (I did start very low so I guess they are not taking me seriously). Now I don't know if I should keep sending them letters and trying to negotiate a settlement and cancel the BR court or to continue filling forms and attend the court next week. One thing is clear, if I do end up in the court I will not meet my October target as I don't think I can stay AF that evening.

I have added this thread into the challenges list that is sticky on the main DFW board. I hope nobody minds."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Hi all,
A dreadful end to the month, as I am not AF AGAIN today - don't know what's got into me. OK I do, alcoholism has got into me, but it didn't rear its ugly head so prevalently until 3 days ago. Am not fighting it very much at the moment, so I stay the same again and my September total will be 21/27.
That is still miles better than my earlier behaviour, so I am pleased, but I am also disappointed and worried that I cannot stay AF for any longer than a week to 10 days.
Anyway, October is a shiny new month, so shiny new targets! I know what I have to work on and my weak spots are not actually what I thought they were! I thought going out and everyone else boozing were my weak spots.........in reality I have had a drink when I was on my own and feeling bored and defiant. Occasionally peed off too, but not always. So I need to focus on diverting myself away from booze in that situation.
Lets see how I go in October. I have done a personal best by a country mile in September, doing 21 days of the month. I am aiming for better than 21 days AF in October :T I hope I can do it.
Hugs
