    I was amazed recently at how little people know about units, including Mr HB. I've always known, & often ignored it :o, how many units I'm drinking. I don't like to think about it, especially over the last year, but at least I was aware. I know people who have no clue about what's in their pint or glass of wine. They have a 1 drink = 1 unit mentality, which is quite shocking :eek:

    he was always Sir William, but formerly of Barsham Hill....... he has chosen to move his feifdom to Lurkdom, but retains the title for administrative purposes (and it gets him in half price to the cinema ;))

    Yeah - the units thing doesn't help, I'm sure. Most will probably equate 1 drink = 1 unit as you say. Its the only way of measuring it though, really. Maybe the measures should change, so you order a 'unit' of beer :D

    Alcohol seems to be endemic in our society & not in a good way. I don't know what the answer is to that though
