OK
Did I mention he was four wheel drive -- OK so he's not, but I am a very good driver and being ON the beach with Darwin whilst decadent and daring - I do ensure his salty ears and well cleaned afterwards and his salty bottom .
I have to confess often he's left adjacent to the beach in a suitable car parking area with a decent view of the beach - but this is unfair to campervans and I think a little selfish if done too often - so on occasion, on special beaches, he gets to come on the beach.
Otherwise he is prone to sulking - and boy can this campervan sulk if he gets a mind too!!:rotfl:Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:

BHB I'm taking that as a compliment.
Anyway who in their right mind has a 22 year old van just to make a cuppa on the beach? I don't think many Vdub owners are exactly sane - a flask would be so much cheaper!Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

It's turning out to be a bit of a confessional this Sunday me thinks, which isn't a bad thing as it can give any troublesome thoughts an airing.happyshopper wrote: »I don't disagree with the substance of what you say most of the time GC, but I think perhaps it's just the way you say things sometimes seems to lack a little bit of emotional intelligence if you don't mind me saying so. Budgie, there's no way you have offended me (or I'm sure anyone else on this thread). You are so caring of other people's wellbeing we've often had to advise you to care of yourself!
I came on here because I had got into a habit of drinking every day and wanted to cut down. I believed (because of RDA) that I should sort this out. The habit had developed because I rewarded myself with downtime/wine after a stressful day and because my lifestyle was such that most of my friends would offer wine (rather than tea) when socialising. I gave up the stressful job four years ago but the drinking habit stuck and last year's NYR was to do something about it.
Thanks to the friendly support on here I have succeeded. I may still drink at weekends, holidays and other social occasions but that's my choice. Even on those days I now drink less because my tolerance has dropped.
I've been out today for a lovely walk with OH. It's positively spring-like here. I'm also thinking I may reward myself. I don't actually need to save money but the money saving does motivate me (). I fancy some troll beads (which I believe are similar to pandora?).
Have a nice evening everyone, I'm off in a while to get our roast going. See you later and thanks for all the kind words :A0 -

But Graham this is a money saving web site - so why is it necessary to post comments on the health consequences of people's actions at all? It's not Martin Lewis' Health Expert website is it?What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

Are we nearing a full moon does anyone know?
Things always become heated around these times lol.
Today has been interesting I think because it just shows that we all do things for different reasons BUT the result is the same. Don't forget people we all have a common goal and that's to do something about our drink habits whether we want to cut down or stop altogether.
We're all here to support each other I am sure. I for one know that if the cravings start I can come to this haven to find help and support so thank you everyone.
I've spent the afternoon trying to find a nice dress to get married in but I'm getting confused. I don't do dresses normally. Which has reminded me that I need to alter my target, I think I will allow myself a celebratory drink on my wedding day if that's OK?
See you later peeps.Karma - the consequences of ones acts."It's OK to falter otherwise how will you know what success feels like?"1 debt v 100 days £20000 -
