Thanks, everyone - you're all so lovely lovehearts.gif

Have just wrestled with the duvet to get clean sheets on my bed. Not something I would recommend doing when befuddled from a bath & generally feeling poorly...however I was victorious & I know I'll feel the benefit when I go to bed :D

Hope all you 72ers are well - I've managed my second AF day so that's the first 24 hours nearly done too ;)

Make that 13 for me HB please and 1/3 of the way through the 72 hours challenge I might add (unless I have an urge to sneak down to the fridge and guzzle out the wine box at 3 in the morning which is unlikely as enjoy my bed way too much ;))

Hope you're over your bear-flu soon

    :hello:

Glad you're getting paid 'til December fay but that's all I'm pleased about. Seems to me, you've been treated really badly. Although I would consult you if I needed to know about willows! (Does that mean BHB will need to pay to speak to you now;)). But you'll be the only person I know with 2 Masters!

Sorry you're feeling poorly HB, are you sure it's not 'wine flu?? Hope you've taken advice and tucked up with a hot Lemsip and a hottle bottle and will feel better in the morning.

:T:T:T Well done everyone AF tonight. Fridays aint easy, good on you!!

    'night all.
  • Good Evening.

Just a quick post, as I am busy throwing things in my suitcase:j:j Sorry to hear about your MSC Fay. I suppose its good that you are there until december. But not entirely sure of the implications after that.

    Jo, hope you are okay.

Greypilgrim. Great to hear you are doing well, keep it up:D

HoneyBear, sorry to hear you are not well. Wrap up well and be pampered:D
My score is 15 AF DAYS, when you are ready to update.
I have also lost another 4 pounds this week. Total lost 2 stone 8 1bs. Since Sept 09.
Feeling good, and to all the new posters re the lack of sleep. Persevere, it does get better. I used to wake up several times in the night, needing the loo, when I was drinking, and then struggled to go back to sleep. Now I go to bed late:rolleyes: but never wake up. Its worth the interupted sleep at first, when you go AF, I think I struggled for a month, before things settled down.
Will post again this weekend, but then I will be offline until next weekend. Will stay strong throughout the holiday, although its going to be tough.

    That charm is in sight!

Just this once, try not ;)

I know what you mean about sleep, but it does get better (someone far wiser than I will tell you all about it I hope)

Its not a good 'sleeping agent' at all really.... I have found that my sleep is less troubled, if that's the word, after the first few days (nights?). I sleep soundly, with no waking up at all (not the case when I have had a drink). Consequently, I feel more refreshed and ready for whatever my day throws at me

Persevere, it will get better :)

Would'nt class myself as wiser....just having maybe been on this particular road longer...

It gets far better...you regain control of you head...and I love the mornings....almost like the bit in Scrooge where he gets up on Christmas Day and he has stuff to do and make right.....

Each day I wake up I reflect on so many dreadful starts to a day.....and how I don't want that again.

    take care all..sorry I couldn't stay longer.

    Hi Bismarck,
Great to see you are still around.
Do you remember last Xmas I bought myself the Bismark bracelet to remind myself not to drink over the holidays.
Well I havn't taken it off since and this Xmas I treated myself to another wider version.
Whenever I feel the temptation to drink I look at them and think of all the days you helped convince me not to drink.
    Thank you
    Love Mollypollyxxxx

think of yourself as wanting to be convinced.

I did too at one point. And the rest is a better history.

Yes I remember ...Mrs Bis was pleased when I showed her what you'd written - I hope you didn't mind.

    I don't need a bracelet. I wear a wedding ring that I nearly lost.

I will never give in to this. I am so glad I helped...but again, you wanted it enough to make it happen.

    Take care.

15 AF for me pls HB!

it's late and i'll try to sleep but much to much on mind! mums in spain hospitalised today with 12 hour constant nosebleed and hypertension - she txt at 12.15 still bleeding! Brother flying out tomorrow. Then tomorrow its 2 years since dads death! (17th), I know my siblings will be drinking but am going to see this one sober. Mums hypertension is probable alcohol related - its a new thing never been diagnosed before. The sale of her house looks like its falling through - we've not told her yet! I've got loads of forms to fill out with the sale of dads flat. Ah well at least i put the xmas decs away today! need to sort out car in the morning as the wipers broke in the snow and ive not used it for 3 weeks...

on a positive note am not missing or wanting a drink and it's weekend and i can lie in tomorrow! :D

    goodnite all x
