Just got back from the Substance Misuse place after having a 1:1 meeting with a counsellor, New plan as from today. Try to reduce to 3 units per day over the next couple of weeks and then am going to try Antabuse after a couple of AF days. That way I won't be able to drink anything at all while I'm taking it or for a while if I stop:j

Hope It doesn't give me any side effects though :o

    BHB
    xx

Best of luck, Sir William. Hope it worksout

  • Hi everyone

I have been AF since Sunday night so that is 4 AF's for me, I guess I've also managed to do the 72 hour challenge ???.

Not sure whether to have one tonight or not, I was tempted last night as I find it is a good sleeping agent but that is what I need to break away from, so I didn't. I slept a bit better last night, but on whole sleep not good, but suppose it is to be expected.

I am feeling really pleased with myself and a bit more upbeet already.

Well done everyone else to. I will try and sign in over the weekend to say hello.

    Thanks

    Habbit

    :hello:

Good luck with your new plan BHB and well done on your persistence for a solution:T (and watch that Molly, she's scary when she gets going:D).

Fay, hope your meeting goes really well. 'Private' reports written in the dead of night, sounds more like YM's line of work!

Loved the dancing kittens Shaggy, great start to the day.

Well done habbit on a very good week :T. I find sleep very poor when AF but I've assumed that as a cutter-downerI never give it long enough to settle.

Hope everyone is thawing out nicely. It's a positively tropical 7 degrees here.

Just this once, try not ;)

I know what you mean about sleep, but it does get better (someone far wiser than I will tell you all about it I hope)

Its not a good 'sleeping agent' at all really.... I have found that my sleep is less troubled, if that's the word, after the first few days (nights?). I sleep soundly, with no waking up at all (not the case when I have had a drink). Consequently, I feel more refreshed and ready for whatever my day throws at me

Persevere, it will get better :)
