Ah thanks Budgie - I am afraid I don't have very good track record in family planning. It sort of happens to me. Anyway - I am 41 soon so I guess it is about time to get a sibling to DD before I am too old.

Evening all, just been catching up! Such a lot to catch up with since yesterday.
Jo - my heart goes out to you. I really hope you find the help you need.
A huge thank-you to all who responded to my post about falling off the wagon and being desperate for a drink. Such kind and wise advice and much appreciated. It does help to know that I am not alone in this.
On the subject of how much help there is for helping smokers quit and virtually none for those with alcohol problems - could it be a financial reason? If smokers costs the NHS a vast amount of money perhaps that's why there is a significant amount of money ploughed in to help people stop. Don't know but I'd guess there are government accountants totting up the income from fags and booze versus the cost of the problems they cause!

Will power alone is not enough for many people on this thread - they are alcoholics and need to change themselves.
Graeme - Appreciated and agreed. Changing yourself and getting rid of the desire to drink has to be the key. Using will power to not drink when you actually want to drink is painful. That's where I'm at and others too I guess. How did you move on and change to get rid of the desire to drink?

No plans at Bear Towers, except for taking it easy, keeping warm & venturing to the gym
How about life in the Bird Cage?
Well work tomorrow, still can't get my car out of our cul de sac, Mr Budgie was out there half an hour earlier today. So borrowing my Dads 4 x 4 tomorrow. Think we will need to get one of our own.
