Hello yup regular breaks - and in til 7pm tonight as DD has cello practise in town

    Hey ho

BTW love fish finger sandwiches (my favourite)

Waves to new folks - all aboard the skylark!

DecemberBaby - some days are easier than others - but once you've done one AFD you know you can do it and should be proud of any day AF :)

  • All this talk of food is making me hungry. Sausage rolls are my favourites!

Confession :o cos I can't tell anyone else this - I had a major falling
    off the wagon last night.

Hi DEcember baby - I'm with you on both counts, sausage rolls and diving off the wagon last night.

I haven't managed to go a long time AF but I find some days are harder than others. SOme of the others get into their PJs early to make it harder to go to the shop before it closes. Here in London I sometimes wished the Sainsbury's closed earlier. I usually find if I cook and eat dinner the wine bells go quieter so my danger time is usually from when I get in from work until 9 or so after dinner.

You might want to come up with ideas for what you'll do next time the urge is strong - but buying asbestos shoes isn't what I mean!! Good luck December Baby and remember to be proud of every AF Day - even 1 is more than I used to have before I found this thread!

  • Well said WBF - :) try lots of things - reading is good as well!

I do fall into the lock your purse at work and get into early pjs school of sabbotage.

    :)

Having a lovely bath too works well - but WBF is right keeping well fed is also pretty important

    Call a chum
    Force down several hot chocies
Snuggle up on the sofa under a cover for a bit (I usually fall asleep)

OK - What do the wise ones say again - the HALT triggers - if you can think and stop yourself dashing out for wine/beer you may be:

    Hungry
    Angry
    Lonely
    Tired

Honeybear, I hope you can fight off the scorer's malady; I seem to remember other people being afflicted with this one last year.

I suspect this is the case  I'll get there...

thank goodness our tea is almost ready - I'm starving after al the sausage roll talk.
Mind you, I have to loose some weight - I tried on some bras (in the sales) today and it wasn't a pretty sight - all slack and flabby (sorry, TMI). I have to get shot of about a stone but it's so difficult. Being AF helps though I suppose

    JANUARY AF = 6/31

Lardloss took another nice dip this morning, but then the early days always see the biggest loss don't they. I think your body senses the change as exercise goes up and food intake goes down, and suddenly rushes to use up all the excess rubbish floating around your system.
  • Good Evening
I too shall be watching the diet prog on Ch4, I must admit to being very upset at the thought of 2 roses chocolates being 100 calories.:o

Jo I watched JK too. Got the impression that out of the two guys only one seemed to be really willing to change. Also the update at the end left me wanting to know did they take the volunteering job ?

The comment re snoring wasn't really put into context was it though? Felt they should have put it together, information wise, a bit better. Sort of factual program that 'Tonight' could do so much better.

Anyway hope you are all defrosting nicely.

HB can you please put me down for 7! (9 running total!) ty

a few bells have been ringing for me too today; they always do after a while cos I enjoy a drink; however, am determined to go the whole of January. Am not sleeping very well and certainly not getting to bed any earlier - seem to be busy cos am not drinking and stuff on my mind. think whilst am not drinking I should start some SSRI's then I wont go back to self-medicating with alcohol!! I have PMDD, and bipolar and am prescribed SSRI's for these conditions though rarely take as there's not much point if I drink, though I know alcohol exacerbates the PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder).

decemberbaby - I've felt that like many time in the past - mainly pre TOTM. Nowadays I find Kudoz, not living near a shop, taking a bath early, and having none in the house helps! Suppose living in London doesn't help your cause. I know when I'm on a mission there's no stopping me - and atm it's a sober one :T
