The giving up/cutting down alcohol support thread! Part 5

Hi everybody :hello:
2 for me please HB, thanks
Just done some AFD vs AD calculations, which are actually quite 'sobering'. I joined this thread in May, and between May and December I achieved 178 AFD's, but 67 alcohol drinking evenings, which is 27% of the total 245 days in those 8 months. Put like that, it seems quite a high proportion overall even though I normally average around 24-5 AFDs per month.
I'll just have to try to beat that overall percentage this year. :j
Right enough of that percentages stuff - but I'll never be as good as Marru at statistics!!! :T:confused:
All the DDs back to school tomorrow. DD1 has been tidying her bedroom - unheard of, I'm stunned. And, Mr PIR helped to make the Sunday dinner - completely unheard of. So I feel less frazzled than usual. :T
All calm in the PIR household. I'm going to bed very soon, cos early start tomorrow.
Night night, hope you all have a good week
xxTotal AFD's May-December 2009: 178 ie 73% of total days (245 days)
Target January: 25 actual: 24 Target Feb: 22 actual 22 Target March: 26 Actual: 24 Target April: 25 Actual: 50 -

Will pop in tomorrow and catch up on a mountain of stuff -
Hugs to you all and best wishes and kisses and lots of lovely love to you allTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

2/16 for me please HB, thanks. 9 units last night which was more than I expected when I worked it out. But at least I didn't drink to the point I lost count. (immediate thought about getting better at counting shows I still have a long long way to go) I slept much better the last two nights too.
Good luck Ladygogs, you've made a great start with 4 days alraeady.
Hello lincs1205, hope you find the thread helps you with cutting down the old alcohol.
Welcome back Fay!
Good night everyone!0 -

:hello: Just managed to catch up, we're obviously getting chatty after the Christmas break. Too much to respond to but :grouphug: to those who need them and :T to all of you who have been AF.
Welcome and good luck to newbies. Good to see you home safe and sound fay and good to have you posting again too BHB.
Holidays now well and truly over and I'm more than ready to jump back on the wagon. OH (or should I call him Papa?) has decided to cut down and exercise as part of his new year regime. We've walked for an hour+ for each of the last three days (glorious sunshine but v. cold here) and he's just had two small glasses each evening. Hopefully we'll keep up the walking but I'm happier with some AF days as I find limiting myself of an evening so difficult.
I'm feeling so stuffed I can't wait to get some AF days clocked up! Looking forward to a 'normal' week!

Morning all :hello:
2 for me please HB.
I have joined LouiseJ's weight challenge and have just got on the scales. I have put on 5 lbs over christmas:eek: So another incentive to be AF:p
Good Luck
ShaggyWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0
