I am thinking along the lines that I have no money left and should I just finish the 3/4 bottle of wine in my fridge today and start afresh tomorrow, sort of along the lines of Jo's suggestion to BHB?? I CAN'T pour it away - that would be sacrilege :D There's no booze on next week's Sainsbug order, just non-alcoholic red wine for cooking and lots of sparkly water and diet cokes!
I really want to chalk up another AF day but if I finish the wine today then I think it's more likely that the week will be AF.... that probably makes no sense!

That seems like bizarre logic to me. You drink to stay AF??
My alcoholism would have told me to do that, now I don't listen to it.
My alcoholism wants me to drink, and it will tell me that by drinking now means I won't drink later etc etc Which is total baloney. One drink leads to another. I hated (and found it virtually impossible) to stop at one drink.

This is why it is so difficult being AF without making major changes to the way you think. Unless you change yourself (from the inside) you'll always crave drink. And after a while, most people give into their cravings.

If you really don't want to drink the wine, then pour it away. Or freeze it in an ice cube tray to use for cooking (a few cubes prevent you opening a bottle of wine 'for cooking purposes')

If you leave the wine in your fridge, it will be calling you. Do yourself a favour and get rid of it. Pouring it down the drain has far better consequences than pouring it down your neck

  • Evening All.

Jo, BB, you are so right on the scoring thing for the 365 challenge. It was confusing me, thats why I decided to just show my score for each month. It also helped to break it down into monthly chunks. I think I will show mine like BB 3/365 + 5.

So HoneyBear thats 3 for January for me please. I've taken down the tree, ironed the school Uniform and PE attire, and found lots of old clothes to wear that I now fit into. Yipee:j:j A definate plus for not drinking:T

40SM, yes I eat bread, (Brown) with no marg or Butter, usually just with honey or Marmite. But I dont eat much of it.
