Morning Heath  thanks for the kind words
I'm feeling a bit better in myself now, spent the morning sending my CV off to all and sundry, I want money, lots of it:D:D
Get your DS2 on to the giving up smoking thread on here. I started the first one a couple of years ago now and the support was the main reason that I managed to quit and stay quit (dunno why the same principle is not working with the booze). OH gave up smoking last Saturday, though has since caved. He asked me to buy him 10 yesterday and I said I thought he'd quit but he said he only smokes 1 or 2 a day. Just looked in the 10 pack I bought last night and there's only 4 left in it  I used to smoke anything up to 40 a day and know how hard it is to quit. Get your DS to try the Allen Carr (RIP) books. Quitting smoking is the best thing I ever did for my health, all I need to do now is quit the booze
Have a lovely day strolling round the shops. Royal Doulton is my thing, particularly character figurines
ETA: Hmmmmmm dinner... dunno yethad an abel & cole fruit and veg box delivered on Thursday, it contained amongst other things, onions, leeks, carrots, potatoes, curly kale, mushrooms and sweetcorn, so thinking maybe a stew

Sounds more like a cult :eek:Jo go you and your 'posh' veggie box!
V jealous!
You have no need to be jealous, you probably grow all that lot yourself!!
Haven't ordered from them for ages, since I've had my v. low paying job, but they've got an offer on at the moment, order a veg box for 4 consecutive weeks and spend at least £15 each week and your account is credited with £50 which is what I'm going to use to buy my xmas meat with  plus I have lots and lots of yummy fresh veggies to use. Looking forward to the sweetcorn with lashings of butter later
ETA: that's a good point bout you and BHB's cult, you've got the organic veggies on the go and he's got the organic meat, you could start up an Abel and Cole rival!!DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -

Ooh do tell more about this offer?
You spend 4 weeks in a row £15 min per week and they credit you with £50?!?!
Do they then have a meat section too eg turkey for Christmas?
If this is so I'll have a mosey on their site as I am sick of turbo listing at the moment! It has taken hours to do 6 so far, still once they're on they're on!
Still have an alcohol induced headache after 2 cups of tea, 2 lucozades and a berroca.
Why have I drank more this month than the rest of the year? I let problems with my ex/OH affect my mood and found solace in the bottle. Well I need to learn from this and if I don't drink my moods and emotions are better. No more now for the rest of the month and then I will reassess for Oct.final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
It's funny cos I was telling someone about the £50 offer on Abel and Cole at work yesterday and their main home page still had the advert but today it's gone
you can use the code till Oct 10th though so i've trawled through my emails and here's what they sent me
1) Add code AUTUMNSUB50 in the promotion code section when you place your first order before 10th October 2009.
2) To ensure you receive the £50 credit to your account you need to have 4 consecutive weekly deliveries, each of £15 or more (not including 99p delivery charge).
3) Each delivery must include one of our set fruit &/or veg boxes, selected on an 'every week' order frequency.
And the terms and conditions say...
"After 4 consecutive deliveries you will receive a £50 credit on your Abel & Cole account. This will show on your account the day before your 5th delivery. This can be spent on any products of your choiceat Abel & Cole before 1st December 2009. Offer can only be redeemed once per household. No cash alternative. Subject to availability. Not valid in conjunction with any other offer, except selected price discounts"
Try the code first see if it works incase they've taken it off, cos although we're still within the end date it does say subject to availibility.
You can spend the £50 on what ever you like to be spent before 1st Dec, I am going to order a beef rib roast and turkey for crimbo and freeze it
HTH x
ETA: they sell everything! Fruit, veg, meat, sauces, pies, quiches, choklit  even loo roll!

It's easy to slip back into a bad routine, my liver is still hurting and I'm already getting bells today tooDFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
Determined not to hear the bells today.
For me it is Strictly starting and reminding me of a year ago when I was drinking more often and a strong trigger in my mind to open a bottle and watch and forget about how it makes me feel.
Good luck for today Jofinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550
