  • Awww Miss P, don't let them get you down. Energy wasted, better spent on piglet :)

I have to admit I've been giving it a hammering over the last few days. Am looking forward to having the house back to just us. As much as I love DH's family, without him - this is hard work. Think I'm knocking it back to get through. Don't get me wrong there's no arguments or such like, they are a very kind, generous sweet family. But I'd really like to slob out on sofa at some point....

Am looking forward to 30th when I can just stop.

The hot water didn't keep me awake in the night with strange noises so I hope that's a good sign & that it's sorted, as it never used to make strange noises in the past

However, I still hardly slept & was convinced that every teeny noise was mice running mad round the place. Needless to say that when I finally braved the kitchen there's no sign they've been back

Kitchen is sparkly clean & I'm now tackling the outlying bits of lounge the be properly de-moused. Have had to taken all the covers of the sofa, & they're is supposedly dry clean only

Going to do some research on the Ikea site to see if I can get away with a low-temp wash instead ;)

Miss P, I'm sorry to hear your news; don't know the details but suspect I would feel the same as you. Try not to let it get you down & enjoy the time you have with your OH & Piglet :)

  • Thanks guys. Feeling a bit better now.

DC - I can see where you're coming from. Whilst its lovely to have people over, even if they are lovely, its nice to get your life back.

HB - put you covers through on 30'c wash and they should be fine. I used to do it with our old sofa.

  • Morning all

I have been drinking too much too often over the past week or so. :o Starting to feel very unfit and down. So off to the gym soon on my bike despite the weather. Back to work for a few days tomorrow, so will not be able to drink wine in the evenings or will not be able to get up for work. Not sure about NYEve yet - if I don't have any wine, I will make my target for this month ... sounds like a great idea at the moment, but after 3 days at work??? And with 3 DDs at home plus the permanently stressed out Mr PIR?

HB: very sorry to hear about the mice problems. We had them at one time, they got in through a tiny hole in a brick, which we filled up. But it is SO unsettling until you know they are all caught. Best of luck. Target for Jan: 25 please, although I'm going to try to beat that number.

    Have a good day everybody

    PIR xx

PS Been to Next sale too. But I can't wait for the 75% Boots sale ... :T

    Morning PIR,

You will feel so much better once you've had a few days drink free ('ark at me  no honestly, you will, I do remember what it's like to have a few consecutive AF days :D), it can really drag you down. No sales for me, 2010 is going to be a frugal and money-wise year and I will be proud in the knowledge that all my bills are paid for and xmas will not come out of November wages :rotfl:

Gosh, I'm almost sounding quite positive
