    Hello to you all,

Just dashing in to tell you that I completed my second AF Christmas Day apart from one Baileys profiterole.....Once I realised what it was I didn't eat the rest......urggggggggggg:eek:
I never liked Baileys when I was drinking so certainly didnt like it yesterday.
I think I can forgive myself that though as it was an accident.;)

Ok....off to DD2s now for another xmas feast.
Enjoy your Boxing Days everyone and Take care of you.

    Love
    Mollypollyxxxx

    26 for me please Marru.

that's the silly part really (0f many)

without realising you can consue the stuff and it hits you like a truck...you og "whoa....what's THIS STUFF?"

and if you're lucky...or ready for the unexpected...you can do the right thing next...that's where the practice kicks in...so you're ready for the next challenge.
For what I've done...I start again...And whatever pain may come ...Today this ends... I'm forgiving what I've done -AF since June 2007
  • Happy Boxing Day All,

Thanks for all your words of encouragement. Visitors have just left my christmas buffet!! Lots of arguing, and noise. DD got a Wii for christmas, wow what fun, except everyone wants to play something different. Snow is very slippery here and old guests were in danger of falling and breaking hips etc!!! I instructed guests to bring there own drink as there was none in the house, so they did!! Trouble is they gave me some!! Unfortunately I feel the slippery slope:eek: gathering momentum. Its only been two days, but I feel that Im in danger of ending up where I started, so I feel it is time to start my next challenge early.

So tommorow I begin my 365 day challenge. It will end next christmas day. I hope that this time I will have the courage as so many others have, to quit totally during that time.

Off to put DD to bed now.

Hope everyone is where they want to be this evening.:D

    You're right Bis.That's exactly what happened...The "whoa...what is this"
At first it frightened me.Which may seem very silly to some people but it really did.I felt quite shaky.:o
I don't know what I was frightened of but I couldn't wait to get rid of that dish.I practically threw it at DD2s partner and said "You eat these NOW"I wanted to run away from them:o.

I feel ok now but if I had liked Baileys how easy would it have been to eat the lot and believe me, there was at least a couple of measures in that bowl.

The more I read about alcohol in society and the more offers I see in the supermarkets frightens me for everyone who has an addictive personality.

    Take Care of You people.

  • Thanks Jo,

I so need the motivation this time. Its amazing how less than 2 bottles of wine has made me feel that I am on the verge of loosing control, but I do feel it, and I dont like it.

So, with a deep breath, I feel that I must stop, think and regain control. I have enjoyed christmas and being sociable, but for me, and others on here, they are never enough, we always want more and find it difficult to stop!!

So the challenge begins tommorow. I had meant to start on 1/1/10, but no time like the present.

How has your christmas been Jo?

  • Hi IM....it was the same for me Hun... my 100th day ( ie the end of that challenge) was really hard for me.....I had epic `wobble` that day....I think that I felt it was that I am used to reward at the end of a challenge & that was why I had to resolve my next challenge immediately...ie hence the 1000 day challenge for me.

Christmas is so tough...Christmas Day is the worse as the temptation to just have one is as you say...like that slippery slope !

Put the last day or so behind you....its a `learn` that even one drink will take you back so you have to decide how you will feel about it & take that deep breath & regain your control....be strong hun...you can do it!

  • Thanks Angie,

I will, take that deep breath, and start again tommorow.

Off to watch James May on catch up now.

Take care, and thanks for your wise words. xx:D
