I'm currently cooking a shepherds pie, blummin starving :drool:

Off to the shop now to get electric in case it runs out tomorrow, that happened to me a few years ago when I didn't have a car......£36 in cab fares to find a shop open on xmas day :eek:

Just been catching up.
Thanks to Bismarck and Sad for the brilliant posts a couple of pages back.
This is the hardest time of the year now when it would be so easy just to have one........


Just finished wrapping pressies.
DD2 coming round tonight with her OH for drinks and then we are going to them tomorrow for the days festivities.
Going to DD1 on Boxing day so all in all lots of fun to be had me thinks.

Hope you all have a really lovely xmas and that you can wake up each day unhungovered.

was feeling knacked just now after doing "getting ready" stuff and couldn't work out how I'd have fitted drinking in!

Remember one year getting progressively more hammered as I wrapped presents, finsihing at 3.30 am and the kids woke up just after 7.

And I'd no real idea what I'd wrapped...

Horrible!

Also, looking back at doing Christmas dinner with a tray full of goose fat slopping around as I wobbled round the kitchen...how I didn't end up with serious burns is beyond me...

so...take it easy everyone...I will!

Phew, think I'm sorted for tomorrow and Boxing Day :j- if not I guess it's tough as the shops are shut Saturday.
Christmas seemed to sneak up on me!
Two more AF days and the days I did drink were more controlled - guess Sat will be a test as we have people coming round, am beginning to stress and use vino to relax!
Anyway thanks to all for their posts which have helped immensely and I hope you all have a Merry Christmas.

Well done with various Christmas preparations and AFness everyone!!

We have been doing last minute christmas present shopping dash to get DD pink slippers. We found them - sadly they don't have the picture she wanted but I hope Peppa Pig will console her. That is the only thing she asked and only thing I didn't have for her.

Now it is just doing some baking and wrapping and tomorrow to enjoy everything.
