What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Good morning everyone, and thanks goodness its Friday and the last day of school for two of my children. Everyone is so tired here and my DH has come out in a rash of some sort. Not sure he'll get round to going to the doctors though.

Another AFD for me yesterday, so that's now 10 for me and still going one day at a time. So far I don't feel deprived cause I say 'well, I can always have a drink tomorrow if I want, but not today'.

So today I shan't be drinking, getting up early on saturday which is a huge incentive to be sober!

    Have a good friday

  • Hi all, hope everyone is doing well.

I haven't been posting much - will be able to more after I get my Netbook for Christmas :o)

Just wanted to report that despite my absence, your inspiration has kept me going. I am still AF all week and just drinking lightly on weekends. This has been since October now and I can't tell you how much better I feel about life/myself. Isn't it funny how we drink cos we feel low and tired, but drink MAKES you feel low and tired.

I really don't want to go back to drinking every night and being groggy every day. I pray that I don't.

Oooh, you just broke my dream!! (odd saying that isn't it?), I dreamt that DS was covered in a rash like chicken pox but I couldn't get a drs appt so he diagnosed him over the phone telling me it was just something viral (his fav diagnosis ), but I knew it was chicken pox! Odd

Anyway, feel like utter poo today, want to go back to bed but will not be able to get a lie in till Saturday week now as I'm working both days this weekend as we are hosting the 11+ exams at school. I shall be exhausted by the time the holidays come round :rotfl: but the money will be useful when I get it probably February and March, that's when the crimbo spends really hits!

Right off to work we go......

  • Morning.
Not been around, due to continuing eye pain. Actually think I may have damaged cornea, today is first day I feel remotely normal.

I've never heard that one Jo., Does it mean when someone has something happen in real life that you've dreamed about?
I have a sneaky feeling it may be shingles as it's itchy and is in the right place (IYSWIM) and he's been in contact with someone with chicken pox so I think that can trigger it.

  • Afternoon all

Busy day in Piggy household. Did Mrs Mop job this morning and then its off to mums soon to drop Piglet off.

Still on whatever I was on yesterday I'm afraid Marru :o. Had a few glasses of wine last night whilst watching Kirsties Homemade Christmas (love that programme!).

Gien - def sounds like shingles. He should make appointment with doctor.

    Hope everyone is ok?
