  • Hi :santa2:

Had some of our Xmas lights vandalised last night whilst we were out  Turns out ( as we thought ) that it was the little shitte from next door. Any how to cut a long story short even after admitting it and his Mum saying that she would pay for any damage she has decided not to now and has even accused us of making the damage worse . Police have been contacted as have the local council as I am not prepared to put up with someone coming into my garden and destroying my property so not quite "Ramsey St " here ATM

Hope you all have a great day

Sorry to hear this YM. Some people just don't line anyone having anything nice. Good for you on contacting the police. Hope they sort something for you.

GC and Mollypolly - you are both so right (as usual:rolleyes:).

    Hi

I'm a recent newbie myself. This thread has both abstainers and cutter-downers on it. I'm a cutter downer. Each month we pledge a number of days that we will try not to drink. I have pledged 17 for December. We also have mini challenges sometimes - like trying to go 72 hours AF.

Marru is recording this months progress. I'm sure she'll be along soon to welcome you. How many AF days do you think you can do in the rest of December or will you start afresh in Jan?

    Welcome and Good Luck

    Shaggy
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

    Hello everyone.

Welcome miffi, cutting down is great too on this thread - pick your target, days or units, and go for it.

YM - that's horrible - there are some nasty pieces of work in this life - good luck with getting it sorted.

thanks GC and Mollypolly for your posts - always thought provoking.
Miss P, I'm finding that the one day at a time is working for me at the moment and I'm finding that being AF makes for a much more benign Mummy. I feel that choosing to be AF empowers me to be able to choose to be a nicer mum too??? that doesn't even make sense to me right at the moment but I feel that somehow the two are linked, somehow, in my mind? Maybe it's a memory of my mum?
    Trying to keep in budget.

    Sorry me again

I tell you what I am finding being AF is that my door does not close at 4pm anymore. The day is longer and I can go out and do things as I can use my car and do not have to worry about going anywhere and losing drinking time

Dont think I will have much joy with the Police and next door to be honest as the little angel:mad: is only 7. Thing is I am more annoyed with the mother

Hey Ho my time will come 1053178878.gif

    Take care
  • Put me down for 4 please Marru ;)

YM - I'm sorry about the little horror from next door - "what goes round comes around" or something like that!

Anyway was AF last night (so total of 4 pls Marru) but not tonight as sampling wine bought for Christmas to make sure it's OK before I buy more!
might leave the bulk purchase to nearer the time to avoid huge temptation!

    Hope all are OK xxx
