    I'm back

DD2 is a lot better today, not well enough to go to school but her teacher said if she wants to come in to do the concert then she can :D it's only 20 minutes long so she can go in just before to get changed do the concert then I can take her home again. Childminder said she'll have her so I can get off to work afterwards. My poor DD2 has been so ill but it's meant that I get to see both little'uns in their concerts this year :j

I managed an AF day yesterday Marru so that puts me on 3 please ta muchly :)

Got to sort the crimbo tree out now (again) as DD2 has removed most of the decs from it  (knew there was a reason I usually put it up just before xmas ) Then get her in the bath as she's been drawing with felt tip pens....

    Have a lovely day xx

  • Hi Guys,

I am feeling upset as my Ds has not rang me............

    P.s I still feel a muppet :o

Why not call him and reach out to him?

Also, try and remember this feeling. It is important to look back at the past, but not stare too long. Learn from it, but don't beat yourself up over it. Would you have done this without alcohol? I imagine not.......

    Morning all,

feeling good today - I think the various illnesses and coughs and colds are finally going away. Am hoping to benefit from lovely AF feeling now!!

Budgie, it's horrible being up in the small hours worrying and turning things over - bad stuff always seems so much worse. I'm hoping that your son will respond to your text and take the hand you are offering. He needs to be be kind when you are having such a difficult time in your life but sometimes it's difficult for children to accept the imperfections of their parents (even if the kids are grown ups!). He perhaps just needs time to get his head together.

    Have a good day everyone.

    Hi everyone,

Sorry not posted since Thursday, but I'm now on placement at the hospital as part of my uni course, so I've been so busy!

It's been lovely to be reading everyone's posts again, both good and bad, because we all have our ups and downs, so hugs to everyone :j

I have been AF since Sunday. It was the uni Xmas party on Saturday night and I went pretty mental with the boozing, I admit. I can't remember when I've been quite so ill the next day.........Sunday was horrendous :o I had to go back to bed, then I was puking up and had terrible stomach for Sunday and some of Monday too.

Note to self: I am getting too old for partying with younger students! ;)

But feeling good now, thank goodness. I am working lates all week, which is 1.45pm - 9.45pm and its brilliant, because I don't drink. I can't drink (and don't want to drink) before shift and I get home at 10pm and don't want to booze, I just want a cup of tea and my bed!

I will be drinking on Saturday evening, as I am seeing my old work mates, but it should be more moderate drinking as they don't drink much and we are having a meal at the same time.

Hope everyone is doing well. I will be having an AF week until Saturday and am enjoying feeling well and happy, I must say. :D

Hugs to all, have a great day.

    Hi Guys,

Just wanted to say thankyou. :A

It just goes to show that when you are feeling at your lowest and your head is not in such a good place. We can always come onto here to get some much needed support. With a virtual hug or two thrown in for good measure.

Miss P and my adorable fellow muppet thankyou for you pm and Fay thankyou for the wooden bowl. It certainly makes you think. Hugs to you both (()) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Gotta dash now as the iapt therapist is ringing at 11am. I shall be back later to catch up on how your days are going.

Btw Graeme (sp) you are right if I had not of had a drink then things would not have been said. You are so right I/we all need to learn our own lessons and I guess to learn what is important to us, and then we need to realise this and then hold onto it for dear life.

I emailed my Ds at 5am today, I couldn't ring him as he would have been asleep and very grumpy. He does take after me in that respect. I shall see if he calls later today?
Thankyou as always my friend :A

Thankyou to you all and take care

Budgie - hope all goes well for you.
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Good to see so many of us up and about and busy this morning!

SSA, my sleep hasn't settled either but that might be because I haven't had a long period AF (4/5 at most). The plus is that when AF I feel/look better next morning despite tiredness. GP has given me pills in the past but I as they make me feel very groggy next day,I'll only take them when I've a clear evening followed by a clear morning and AF so I only have one when I'm desperate for a few hours. The AF is nothing to do with the pills it's just that booze knocks me out for a similar number of hours so no point.
