Evening Princess Bear - just quickly checking in to say all well in the stripey household - AF :)
    Hugs to Marru

    xx

Ooh, what a great title. I feel all important :D

Well done on the AF front :)

I realised earlier that I've almost done 72 hrs as I was AF on Sunday too, not that I shall let that deter me from further AF-ness tomorrow, of course ;)

  • Flying visit, to say that's 8 for me please Marru.

Had the bells for a moment today after some stressful stuff but fortunately was driving along the motorway at the time so no chance to succumb:D.

Just jumping in to say 3 for me please Marru and am still on target for the 72hr challenge :j dh tried to tempt me into opening bottle of chanmpagne I have got in for a 30th we are going to on Saturday but I was strong :p

I cancelled a drinks order I had placed with Sainsbugs today...(dh was gutted ;)) I had got a voucher plus they are doing 25 percent off when you buy 6 bottles of wine etc. so I thought I would make the most of it and get in some nice wine and cava for christmas.......I then realised that no way would it sit there till then so not really a saving anyway

I have Twilight and New Moon to read and keep meaning to start, think I shall start now with my milky drink before by bys...

Hoping your dd is better tomorrow Jo xx

saw my twin dds today in their nativity 'christmas with the aliens'!! they were the youngest as in the pre-school nursery there and were stars and I nearly cried when I saw them!! dh was in the junion play today as a musician and they do theirs at the Church, anyway mil and fil went to see him and thought he said he was in the choir and basically watched the whole thing and didn't spot him!! not only that but he told me later he saw them and at the end grandad went up to the front and started taking pictures of the choir!!! he must have thought 'he's in there somewhere' :rotfl:

right off to bed....hugs to all and thanks for cheering me on HB xx

    Hi all

Hugs to all the poorly people/carers of poorly people and anyone struggling.

I just got back from nativity play and my little 6yr old sang her heart out-really belted it- I think shes going to take after her dad, he's a musician and sings and plays guitar for hours a day and she always joins in and sings along-had to laugh when I went to parents evening though and read her workbooks, they had been doing some stuff on the kids favourite songs-most of the kids said 'wheels on the bus', 'bob the builder' etc and my little one had put down Motorhead Ace of Spades! Mmmm.

Crossing my fingers that everyones children are fit for performances tomorrow.

Jeffgeorge-take care with your shaky/sweaty freind who is withdrawing-it can be dangerous to stop abruptly when you are physically dependant- might be an idea to see GP and see if theres a less distressing way to come off the booze? Certainly keep an eye on them- you can have withdrawal seizures up to about 10 days after you quit and these are potentially lethal. Don't mean to be dramatic, but it can happen.

Really impressed with the 72 hr challengers, and hugs to BHB- tootsies must be really painful and sore.

Hope everyone is OK tonight- catch you later.

Not at all - alcoholism is a disease that makes you forget had bad it was/is. Thus we need reminders of the pain, discomfort, unpleasantness of it all.
Gratitude that you are not like that is essential for recovery. However, don't take pleasure in someone being less fortunate than yourself (I am sure you won't)
