Thanks everyone for your lovely replies. I did not drink last night and am having an SOS today (excellent acronym!!) so Marru I have done 3 days AF this month so far and hope to be AF today, tomorrow and Tuesday until about 8pm!!
I am looking forward to going to the doctor on Tuesday and talking about it - sometimes it seems that you have to be at absolute rock bottom and sweating neat gin before they will help!! I have too much to lose but it is hard to be rational when addicted and one glass of wine on Friday night led to however much vodka and a lot of money that shouldn't have been spent. I am finding it easier to keep off cigarettes which is shocking really but those Niquitin Minis are fab.
Also seeing the doctor just before I go out on Tuesday night should help with motivation, she is a lovely woman and really seems to care. I am going to order a bottle of San Pellegrino water to quaff while everyone else has wine.
Anyhoo I am now going to look out some stuff to sell on eBay (positive action) and nip to Sainsbugs for a few bits and pieces (no fags or booze :A)
Have a lovely day folks,
Squizz xx

squizz Good luck on Tuesday. I also found giving up smoking soooo much easier than the drink
Right off to the real world for a bit
See you later :santa2:0 -

Afternoon all
I've been awful lately, not managed an AF day yet for December  am still really busy, so not had much time to get on here and catch up. Must really try to come on each day though as it does help to keep me focused.
Will be AF today and am planning on doing the 72hr challenge aswell, need to get back into the mindset of not drinking.
Hope everone is doing ok, and welcome to Compingadict, this is a great thread everyone is so supportive.
