The longest periods of sobrietry seem to be 14-16 days then I will have a drink which normally leads to a bender lasting normally for 3-5 days and then the cycle goes round and round.
I used to do 3 days to prove I was fine and then kind of slip....OK...fall....headlong....
I hope you find the solution...take care

Loving the Christmassy avatars, really should get one myself but I've never worked out how
Welcome JG, this is a great thread with some great people. You'll get all the support you want here. Sorry about your bad experience squizz.
Hope you had a great night out jo and hope you're OK fay, you sound a bit frazzled.
Had an AF night tonight, most unusual for a Saturday but I offered to drive and had a glass of Shloer to try (it was yuk far too sweet for my tastes) so stuck to water. Sorely tempted to have some wine when I got home but told myself I have to clock up some days urgently.
4AF please marru.
'night all, enjoy rest of weekend.0 -

Morning :santa2:
Still on 2 AFDs. BF turned up with 2 bottles of wine last night. I had 4 units - 2 of each;).
All this talk of outdoor lights made me take a trip to homebase yesterday. I am now the proud owner of a string of LED multicoloured outdoor lights which are looking rather lovely in a rose bush :xmassmile
Anyhoo, have a
Good Luck
ShaggyWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

Morning all!
I'm up for the 72 hour challenge from Monday!!
4 for me please Marru.
Squizz - Sorry to hear you had a negative experience with the detox thing. It must have been hard to work up the courage to go for it, only for it not to happen! Hope your GP can help more this time.
Maman - With you on the schloer thing. I find a lot of those drinks far too sickly for my tastes. Well done on resisting the urge for wine when you got home though!
Jo - Hope you had a lovely time. Sounded a fantastic place
Was AF last night - spent evening wrapping presents and cleaning duplo bricks I've got for Piglet off ebay. Theres a nice big lot now...just need to find a tub to put it all in.
Don't know if will be AF today...will see how day goes:rolleyes: Definately up for the 72 hour thing from tomorrow though.
No major plans today. Wanted to put tree up but think Piglet may go into hyper crazy christmas mode if I do so want to delay that!:xmastree:
Taking a trip to the market today...not my favourite place but I'm sure I've seen up there stockings like my Mum and Dad used to do me for christmas. They are polythene / plastic see through ones with christmassy patterns on. Very retro and really was a blast from the past for me. Would love to give Piglet the same sort.
Anyways, must get on before Oh starts tutting about me STILL being on the pooter!
Have happy Sundays all!
Miss P
