  • Hi all!!

Honey bear are you starting your 72 hour challenge today? God that sounds nothing much less then 3 days huh!

Count me in though if todayor tommrrow!

    You are all so lovely.

Not read back through all the posts but have people tried Campral and antabuse etc? I have tried everything looking for that solution but the only thing that works is staying away from that first drink one day at a time. (until my head goes mad and I pick up).

I have tried toprimate as well which has rave reveiws in USA but didnt affect me. Was thinking of trying sinclair method. But past experience shows bit pointless as I suppose its like taking appetite suppresants when on weight watchers.

Sober and loving thoughts to you all

    xx

Many posters on this thread take that view.

    Good luck.

    Morning all

A warm welcome to JG, good luck on your journey. I have taken campral in the past after a 2 week detox of librium daily, but I don't think it worked for me as you need to take it for a few weeks regularly to get into your system and I didn't give it enough of a chance to work before I binned it off. I have heard good reports from some though, in fact our Eselt has taken it in the past and if I remember correctly thought it did the trick. Good luck.

Squizz, hugs to you, what a horrible thing to go through to gear yourself up like that, especially breaking the news to your mum, then being let down :( get it all off your chest on Tuesday and insist that you get the help you need. Let us know how you get on xx

Morning to everyone else, I see we have put the decs up in here at last :rotfl:

A little hungover today, had a fabulous time last night with my friend, she treated me to dinner and drinks at Cha Cha Moon in SoHo which was totally yummy then we made our way to this private members bar, it was down a street off Carnaby St way, all it was was a black door with a buzzer. We got buzzed in and it was a total hive of activity! 3 floors of bars, the one we was in had private booths, we had a booth that could seat around 10 just for us and our own bar tender that took the drinks orders then made them up. Cocktails to die for, lots of shaking and spinning of bottles etc. I was very 'good' and stuck to beer but did try one cocktail at the end before we left, it was a hot one and tasted like christmas in a glass! Got the munchies on the way home so told the cabbie to stop at the all night bagel shop  got in, jammies on and straight to sleep and didn't wake up till 10am this morning

Had a lovely evening and am not going to beat myself up about drinking, I had a fantastic time, if I wasn't drinking it still would have been just as great. I won't be drinking today though, have lots to do and drinking alcohol gets in the way of me doing anything. Crimbo tree and decs are all over the hallway ready to sort out later when I get back from taking mummy shopping and I have all the usual Sunday stuff that needs to be getting on with.

    Have a Super SOS :D

    xx
