    Morning all,

Gotta be quick again, really shouldn't allow myself to log on in the morning as it makes me late when I have to catch up with what's going on!

YM, congrats on giving yourself a jumpy ;) Another day for me please :)

Gromit, I've everything crossed for you till further notice fingerscrossed-fingers-crossed-goodluck-smiley-emoticon-000674-large.gif

Fay, Yes OH ok, he's got an inner ear infection, exactly the same as I had a few months ago, but obviously as he's a man, he is suffering very badly and so we spent a whole day with the docs at A&E

Right, better scadoodle!! Ch-chow now WavingSmiley.jpg

Feeling v glad to be alive today - no problem leaping out of bed in early hours (dark!) as unhungovered (love that new word I've learnt!) and drove to work as the sun was rising - mist hovering over the fields and beautifully coloured treetops peeking over the top - absolutely gorgeous! I hope you all get chance to take a minute today to see the same beauty wherever you are too...
YM that's 22AF for me please. Mrs JC, you and I have been level pegging till now, so keep up if you can!

MrsJC, hugs to you, we've all been there, brand new shiny day today so don't beat yourself up :) xx

Mrsdee, very profound message, yes it is great to be unhungover'ed, not got to the point you have yet, I'm exhausted and feel like I've been run over when I get up, in fact feel like that most of the day. This is all the toxins coming out of me and my body trying to recover, it's exhausting! So I will take a minute today to see the beauty, but it will be at about 10.30pm and it will be pillow and duvet shaped :D looking forward to getting where you are :)

  • Good morning everyone. Just checking in to say I wasn't AF yesterday BUT I was uber successful at the second part of the thread title. I had one glass of wine and I waited until after 9pm. As I was only having one I opened a 'good' bottle with the intention of it lasting a couple of days. Unfortunately my boozy husband glugged it all down after I had gone to bed. He really should be on this thread but I know he won't.
    Have a good day everyone.

    Hi all

Glorious day in cornwall today-puts a real spring in my step.

Hugs to Caz, well done for being so honest and getting straight back on track...thats the key with relapse, nip it in the bud before it escalates and learn from it, and get back on the wagon before you default to your old drinking lifestyle.

Glad to hear things are looking up for your mum 40sm, I really feel for you, hugs to you and your family.

Honeybear...never mind puffy eyelids, heres a challenge for you...any beauty advice for a 42 yr old whose skin and whole body have been completely ravaged by 25 yrs of hard drinking, smoking, no exercise and poor diet?.....Take it from me (younger drinkers on this thread beware...you won't get away with it forever...unless you are fay of course!), its not a good look, but any tips gratefully received.................

On the plus side, had a very MSE xmas last year as loads of people bought me wine as they didn't know I'd stopped drinking and I just bagged them up and passed them on as presents to other people...reckon at least 12 presents got this way, just cost me some pretty bottle bags. Result, no booze in the house, saved a fortune.

Good luck everyone today, especially those struggling and those whose lives are stressful and difficult at the moment.

    Hugs eselt)

i know what you mean about the exhaustion! I had that for ages a while back. You're right - your body not only getting rid of all those toxins (imagine how much!!) but also recovering from years (in my case) of not having proper quality sleep - just that sort of drunken torpor for a few hours each night, which doesnt allow your body to recover and regenerate. Years of poor sleep must take a lot of catching up on, I reckon!
You'll soon be feeling full of energy I hope! In the meantime enjoy your hibernation...
