My goodness, today has flown by and I am just off to bed. I have not had the first drink today so am going to bed sober, and I didn't drink last night either so that's two days gone.

Worst thing is, despite feeling so terrible yesterday with a hangover, that when my DH said tonight 'do you fancy a glass of wine' I very nearly said yes. I had to go and get a coffee because we were sitting watching tV (strictly come dancing of all things!) and the urge was so strong.

Can I really not go more than two days without a glass of wine?
Anyway, away to bed now, hoping I will feel good tomorrow.

  • Evening all. ( just checks clock to make sure its still evening)

Odd day....bad news, good news:D(very good), bit of a rant ,bit of a panic & after all that I`m still AF:j:j

    7 DAYS PLEASE !!!

GC....I totally agree that you can be stopped ages & then go straight back to excess immediately. I went 9 months & not a drop then one day bought a bottle & drank the lot....did`nt feel tipsy or hungover ....found it very worrying looking back as I continued every night the same for over a year. I really can`t allow that to happen again !!

May be awol for a bit.....stuff going on here that needs attention...will check in when I can.

Hugs to everyone & stay strong.

Gien, well done :T Maybe don't look at it as 2 days without wine, just 1 day without wine in succession? ;)

Angie, hope things are ok. Look after yourself :)

Need to stay awake for a bit but being on here is making me sleepy so I'm away to potter about to keep me up.

See all you lovely peeps in the morning :D

Amazingly I've had an AF Saturday. Had a nasty headache (unusually not booze induced) so thought it sensible to not make it worse by drinking. Kept wavering throughout the evening until eventually (about 10 pm!) knew I'd kick myself if I wasted a potential AF day.

Well done everyone else managing AF tonight (and those that didn't hope you enjoyed it).

YM, are you planning to get all fitness mad or is it just a healthy eating kick?

Ange, hope nothing too serious, take care.

    3AF please GG.

    'night all.

Just a healthy eating kick really maman. I have these fads every few weeks but do really need to sort out my diet and do some exercise instead of sitting on my arris ;)

Well good morning all. I was thinking tonight( I am on nights have not been laying in bed :D) about the last time I felt chilled and relaxed.

It was when I came back from Florida and ,thinking back, I only had a bottle of Bud when I came in from the parks not my usual 8 cans. Just struck me that I do not have to have loads of beer to enjoy myself and relax.

Taken a while  but sometimes the answer is right in front of your face.

Hope you all have a lovely Sunday.

    Good night

    Morning:hello:

Really pleased. Went out with some friends last night and only had one drink. A great leap forward for me. We went for a meal (so that made it easier). Ordered a large glass of wine and a jug of water. Made sure I sipped rather than my usual gulps  The friends I was out with don't drink that much, so it was nice not to feel like the odd one out.
So a non AFD day and I'm still on
    4 days GG

    but an achievement non-the-less.

Aim is to get to Friday AF and notch up 5 more AFDs towards my pledged amount.

    Good Luck

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
