Have just walked in from work and announced no plonk for me tonight and he looked at me as though I heads-well it is chucking it down here so if he wants some he can go to the wine aisle himself!

Ooh - puppies!!! My dog is 15 years so it was such a long time since she was puppy. Sighs. I wouldn't have her any other way thou.

Whirling thoughts when trying to sleep: Have a pad by bed and write it all down then it is still there in the morning and doesn't have to keep spinnig in head. I seem to survive by having lists and knowing that I will do what needs doing and I won't forget anything.

Feeling positive for another AF day but I haven't picked up little moo moo yet from school.

Can I join in onthis one as well???? Feeling very embarrased by my frequent visits to the wine aisle. For November I am going to try and pledge 12 AF nights-will try and persuade OH to do the same as well

Welcome kaleoma. I have pledged 12 AF days (and nights) too for November. I didn't manage my pledge in October but the nice thing about the people on this thread is that everyone offers a lot of support and no one makes you feel that you have failed just encouragement to try again. I don't post very often but get a great deal of help (and entertainment) just reading others' journeys.
Good luck for 12 (to both of us!)

    Well....insomnia strikes again....sat in bed with laptop....yes I lead a thrilling life - not!!!

Should I watch a film or venture over to the moneysavings arms for a laugh?

Or maybe shall go find a counting sheep smillie to watch.

Anyone any tips on how to sleep? (other than alcohol obviously) tried horlicks & aromatherapy to no avail :o:o

    Angiexx

I sometimes take an anti-histamine to help me sleep (not the non-drowsy type), but take it about 9-10 pm otherwise I'll still be dopey in the morning. Since I've cut down my drinking I've been sleeping better and this has been helped by my memory foam mattress topper and pillow! I wake up in the same position and I was an insomiac for years and years! Must agree though the first thing did was to cut down coffee as I was a big drinker.

It was raining this am so DS1 wanted a lift to school but I didnt have time to shower before work (I drop him on the way) so was really pleased with myself as I went to the gym so I could shower afterwards. I've not been for over 2 weeks (2 women sniggering and pointing at me:mad:) and am way too hypersensitive but on a positive note I really enjoyed it and feel like going again now! Got too much to do though, need to take dog out, clean up some, take washing out and do some work from home. Should be ok as I've already had an hours kip when I get in from work.

Got all this to do as I'm taking kids to WWE at Butlins this weekend :T - am actually way too excited!!

Like 69chick, I've also had a huge bowl of pasta :D

Feel a bit better too, thankfully. And pleased I've stuck with the challenge considering I was working somewhere else today & consequently spent all day looking over at a pub :rotfl:

Angie, here's some sheep for you: sleep-034.gif

More seriously, you may have noticed that I often log off fairly early compared to others on here. That's cos I need some downtime from my laptop before I can sleep. Once I've logged off I tend to read for a little while. Maybe leaving your laptop alone after a certain time might help?

They also recommend not having too much electrical equipment in your bedroom too - don't know if you have a tv in there etc but perhaps a clear out if you do?

Hope any of this helps :)
