I'm now lost in a world of Stricly...
Me too! Love it! All the glitz and glamour, so unlike everyday life.Sitting here with a cup of tea on what is only my 3rd af day this month  my head is all over the place at the moment but I am really feeling down about my drinking again (which is why I have been avoiding this thread stupidly) - it has become that every day habit againso I have decided that enough is enough, I actually do feel sick of drinking today...only prob is that tomorrow we are having a meal with family in the evening and I know they will bring white and red wine round and then on Monday night it is my wedding aniversary and we are going out for a meal !
ok so tonight af good, Sunday af and then tuesday onwards next week till at least the Saturday...that's the plan..
Hope to be able to catch up on all the goings on soon..
Hugs to all xx
I'm not doing a whole lot betterBut I do think it is incredible how so many things in life include alcohol
Other than the usdual stresses, I'm doing okay. Mr FH is away now until mid-Oct  So me and the boys are left to our own devices. I always have a cry on the first day and then I try to get over missing him. The boys struggle though. Especially the youngest
I'm off to watch X Factor now with my mum that I sky+ Sad I know, but for goodness sake it's the only entertainment!
Much love XNeed to start again0 -

Broke the rules last night - had at least a bottle of wine in the pub, made an a*se of myself phoning and texting folk. Feel carp this morning.
I remember how happy and more like the 'real' me I felt a few years back when completely AF for 8 months or so.
So...it's time to stop being so blooming deluded, face up to things once and for all and admit I'm powerless over this.
Inspired by GC, RA, MP, Eselt, Bis and Caz (apologies to other other AF-ers I've forgotten to menton) I'm giving up. I think there's an AA meeting very local to me on Mondays - will give it serious thought over the weekend and think I might go along.
I'm REALLY ready for change this time. Enough is enough.
Have lovely weekends everyone.
xx
Try and remember the way you were feeling when you wrote this.
I think we have a forgetting disease - we forget the trouble and pain alcohol causes us and thus drink again.
You may as well go along - you have nothing to lose at all. Just one hour, and no-one is going to run after you if you decide never to go again0 -
Hi Everyone.
Never been to an AA meeting so not sure what actually happens...I would though if I fall back into my `old ways`. Life is too short to waste it on the booze...its worth a hour out of my week but of course it is personal preference.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend. I went walking in the week & legs still ache...maybe not as fit as I thought I was. Tomorrow I shall be resting.

Oh almost forgot my reason for posting:D 19 for me please YM.:j:j0 -

How far did you get? I've have done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING today. Done the garden yesterday, had a massive lie in, read a book, went downstairs, missus GP persuaded me to go backup stairs forXXXXXXXXXX

and then I snoozed for a bit, read some more, kept thinking I should fix the puncture on my bike and get some miles done, but just put the PS3 on instead.
I have really enjoyed the weekend so far.0 -

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:only done 7 miles in total this week but the climb in Edale earlier in the week took its toll. Nevermind at least I can `feel` my knees again now:eek::eek::eek:. `Never exercise when tired` I think I should have taken my own advice.
Anyway GP...its after the 9pm watershed so I would think that you managed to errr ...burn a few calories today one way or another!:D:D

Finally realised that I couldn't quit the fags without quitting the booze and though I will always want a ciggy and I'd love a night on the razzle, I don't reckon I can ever have a beer again as the pull is too great and I know it'll be a case of 1 is too many and 100 is never enough.
If it wasn't for my kid I'd be smoking and drinking until the end. Even now I sometimes think about a countdown until she is grown up and has left home, so that I can hit the fags and booze again. Maybe I will, maybe it'll just cost to much by then. However, booze seems to be getting cheaper and cheaper than ever in Tescos. It wasn't this cheap 20 years ago.0
