I agree! This thread is a real inspiration and you will be welcomed and supported in whatever you want to achieve. Good luck in this and in your slimming world quest. I certainly found that eating healthily makes me feel less like drinking - and think of all those empty calories as well, which could be "spent" on proper nutritious food! You'll feel better and more energetic, that's for sure.

    Co-oey :D

I back in the land of the internet with new all singing all dancing broadband :T

Fay .... hangs head in shame ... have lost count sorry :o Way more than it should be though

On a plus side, however, I went to the local addiction support place yesterday and 're-enrolled' and should have a personal support worker in a few weeks (as there is a small waiting list). That doesn't mean I can't access the service for a few weeks, just some of it is a bit limited.

I have been again this morning to join the 'reduction clinic'... sort of like weight-watchers for beer ;)

They monitor you every week and give you a plan for reducing your intake, and slap you with a wet fish if you don't. I also got invited to a group thing on Thursday mornings, but can't make tomorrow but should be able to next weekend. Apparently its not all doom and gloom and can be a bit of a hoot so thought I may as well give it a go as well.... can't hurt can it?

Hope everyone is OK - yet again 3 million pages to read back ;):D Welcome any newbies .... guess there will be some

Back later after work and a 3 hour catch up ;):p

    Hi everyone,

I am managing to keep up with the thread now - it's amazing how much more time I have now I am not spending every night comatose (sp?) in front of TV.

Saw that there was footie on TV tonight and was almost tempted to get some 'refreshments' but have decided to go to next instead and look for a skirt - I don't want to change my sig!!!!

It's nice to see such positive vibes on here this week, despite the cold weather and looming dark nights and am glad to see I am not the only one getting a head start on the Chrimbo planning Miss P - with my lot to cater for I have to start early and still end up forgetting something but that's half the fun!

Welcome to Ellyg - I remember many years ago my problem started just having drinks at home on weekends - then the weekends got longer - then they just merged into the next weekend, you don't realise it is taking over at first but it does, so well done on 'nipping it in the bud'.

Might be back later but if not have a good evening all.

    MOS x

ps: forgot to say, love the picture shaggydoo, have saved it and going to use it as my desktop to remind me of my AF mission.

Woo Hoo -that's another one in our Xmas gang Miss P !!!:santa2:
  • Good afternoon everyone. Just a quick post while I am packing up to leave work (early night tonight so the phone better not ring!).
I just had to say that everyone seems to much brighter this week. I agree with mumofseven there are some real positive vibes.

    :rotfl:yellowmonkey.

Well I didn't manage to remain AF yesterday, for some reason I couldn't watch the Horizen programme without a glass of wine :o. But, it was a glass of wine albeit a large one. I decided I wasn't going to drink until 9pm and then I didn't want another one; I was looking forward to my bedtime hot chocolate too much. For one evening at least, I was officially a moderate drinker.
I'm off but will look in later even if I just lurk.
    Have a good evening.

    Count me in :D

Have most of my presents and cake is done. Just few more presents to get and a couple of weeks to festoon the outside of my house with thousands of lights than that will be it.
