Yay! Another AF night for me too. Me and my Cadbury's Hot Chocolate watched Horizon - very interesting. Awwww man I had such a great night sleep - can't believe it. sleping-smiley.jpg

This moring was fab. I have a calorie diary in excel and usually have to add 100s of calories to it for a "few" *cough* glasses of wine from the previous night, which always pushed me over my dieting target for the day. Not this morning:D

    Good Luck and many thanks

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

    Morning all

    2 for me please Fay!!!

I'm up for the 72 hour AF - Monday to Wednesday next week. Actually planning on being AF the weekend but thought I'd join in Mon-Wed so I wouldn't be Billy no mates!;):rotfl:

Saw the horizon programme last night. Again, like the others, wasn't quite what I expected. When they started talking about a mutant gene I wasn't sure WHAT to think. Yes, be nice to think theres an actual physical reason why some of us don't have the stopping mechanism. Or is that a cop out??

What got to me most was when he described his Dad coming home drunk. I do NOT want that to be the memory my son has of me (although I don't go out to drink as such).

Thought provoking, yes. But think it raised more questions than it really answered. (and am I the only one to sit there worrying about how far those rats fell!?:rotfl:)

Anyways, me and Piglet have a nice day planned. Him, me and Mum are going looking at christmas stuff at a local garden centre and are having lunch out. Going all out on christmas this year (for Piglet). Already have his Santa Stop Here sign for the garden. Want to get lots of pretty things for the house.

    Have good days all!!

  • Rats I missed the program last night, even set myself a reminder too doh!! I'll try iplayer later, but have never tried it before so won't count on it...

I'm still not finding time to come on here much, but hope everyone's ok and feeling positive today. I'll try and get on tonight (shouldn't be on now as I'm at work  ) My new found energy since being AF is being put to good use in having a major declutter in the evenings so the pc is taking a bit of a back seat.

    Waves to all :hello::hello::hello:

    13/20 for me please Fay!!

i worried about the drunk rats falling off too! Since watching that amazing David Attenborough programme on Monday night have been very mindful of little animals and even carried a spider out of the shower this morning and put him outside!
Interesting programme last night. I remember the last bit :
    Alcohol - what's it for?
    Why do we drink it?
    is it worth it?

And when he was getting drunk - didnt you think he looked a prat? I thought, blimey that's what I've been like (and much much worse of course).

As he said, alcohol is a dangerous but freely available drug, and if it were invented or discovered today, it'd be banned.

  • Hi everyone I love this subject. Can I join in??

I want to get healthy I joined slimming world last night and have decided I want to have a rest from alcohol. Me & oh have got into the habit of drinking wine & lager Friday & Sat at home. Apart from the obvious feeling down the next day and spending money we cant really afford. I would just like to get healthier and feel more energetic. I find after having a drink or 6 or more I just don't want to do anything, which is such a waste. Don't think I will be ever to give up completely,:j but the posts here have given me motivation to try and cut back for now anyway
