I just went out to buy more wine...
So you might consider what I'm about to say my own fault but...
I was just nearly run over on a zebra crossing by some fat slob of an idiot driving whilst on his mobile! He actually stopped before the crossing then decided to start up again when I was on it!
I thought his registration read FAY so, for obviously forum reasons I thought I'd cut him some slack, then I realised it said FAT so I no longer felt that I had to hold back on my annoyance!

Evening,
Very good posts today. I am in the category of wanting to have a drink just after I have managed put DD to bed. That is why not having alcohol in the house works for me as at that point there is no way I can go out to buy any. And as always the feeling passes. Yes I do admit I need to change but by using these tricks (of not being dressed, of not wanting to go back out) forces me to find other ways to wind down and make a positive habit.
I started to get worried about my drinking when due to poor financial situation I tried to restrict my weekly sherry purchase to one bottle and discovered how hard it was. I didn't like the fact that I was drinking because I had to not because I chose to. However unlike some of you I have no problems with social situations. I can have couple of glasses of wine or one glass of cider and not want any more. For me staying in full control when out in the public overpowers the need for a drink.
I did the test and scored 15. I am actually surprised as last month after getting straight 30 without too much trouble I felt that you might think it is too easy for me and that I shouldn't really be here. The failure yesterday was actually a good thing as it finally fully exposed to me when is it that I am most likely to drink and that is when I am tired. And yesterday I was shattered (I had been up since 2 am). So here is another area that needs to change - not to allow myself to get to that exhausted stage. Easier said than done.
I am actually thinking of going to bed at 8pm and getting up at 4am. I would have two hours then in the morning to catch up with things that need doing, something that I am too tired to do in the evenings. Will think about that and might do a trial run.
Anyway Fay - I declare 7 AFDs for me please."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Aw guys thanks for all the well dones that gives me a real lift. Well dome ym, marru & all other afers & not-overdoing-it-ers too!
HB what a shock & no it wasn't your fault even if you were being a teeny bit naughty. Every day I'm horrifed at other people's driving - one day I will die at the hands of someone coming round a blind bend at speed in the middle of the road, or the other favourite round here is pulling up at a T-junction, seeing me coming along the main road at 60mph & then waiting til the last nanosecond before pulling out under my nose - I've had some very close calls indeed. It's lucky I'm as old as I am! cos 25 years ago I wouldn't anticipate other people's stupidity - now I expect it & I'm ready. oops, rant!!
Marru that's an interesting thought re the sleep times! Horriblr getting up that early at this time but at least it'll be dark to go to bed at 8. Let us know how it goes.
There's naff all on TV! I've got a freeview box but since it was retuned last week I've only got about 3 channels; a lot of them had stopped working anyway & now they've disappeared....who's nicked my signal?
I'll have to watch my tape of Doctors, classy.......0 -

Gosh I'm tired - no doubt in for a carp night's sleep but still will not be hungover-groggy tomorrow which will be the first time in.....ages.
So, gonna waltz off to do some bits & then early to bed with a book I'll be able to focus on!
Hope everyone's OK, it has gone quiet on here at the mo - no doubt you'll all be back when T2GU & I are in bed (not together, you understand).
Goodnight!0 -
