No way am I going to touch that Cadbury's stuff! It sounds amazing but I'm trying to lose all the weight I put on on holiday and then some! I've got a black tie event coming up in November and my bestest posh frock is at least a size too small.

Me too in November but my bestest posh frock is still sitting in the wardrobe waiting for me to try it on and I am scared to

Morning all  Hope everyone is well...I have woken up today with a stinking headache, which is very annoying as no alcohol for me last night! maybe I am alergic to hot chocolate  feeling a bit more human after gtting the kids to school and a lovely :coffee:

DH is at the docs this morning, he thinks he has a peptic ulcer, probably just man indigestion  but he has been suffering a lot with stomach pain recently, this has at least made him re-think his drinking and has had 2 days af himself...

Good luck with your Mum today sckbye I am sure you will feel a whole lot better when you have got it off your chest and I bet your Mum will feel better (in a way) that you have shared your problem with her...she is probably worrying anyway.....like others have said if you aren't af today don't beat yourself up too much, just make sure you come on here and let us know how it went...

I also read it as 'fakeplasticwee' even though I clocked the correct name, I just can't help but read it in my head as the other version :p

Right off now to sort out my Farm on Farmville (facebook) then a bit of housework before I get my girls from Nursery....ta ta for now

    Hi

Seem to be in a black room with no lights and am feeling my way around until I find the door.

Should find it soon ;). Just having a few " Sod it " days

    ym

Careful with the feeling around; I seem to be in the same room with you which might be a shock if you found me before the door :D

Spose I'll get out of that room EVENTUALLY, deffo too many "sod its" going on

ETA really I'm just worried about Fay running out of gold stars so not wanting to use any up meself :D

Major problem is that I never get to come on here (as you may or may not have noticed) am missing the support. My boss has come in 3 times while I've been writing this & home is worse!!

Today is my 18 month anniversary for being alcohol free:T
I can't believe where the time has gone.
Thought I would post Spring watch girls' post from the original thread again for those struggling...and for all the newbies.

    Here you go.....

"Well, week 5 of no alcohol and I see a different person in the mirror. My eyes no longer look dull and vacant, they actually have a little sparkle and my skin doesn't look like uncooked pastry anymore. I feel that I have won a battle but not yet the war. Hope everyone else is at the point they want to be, I never want to be that person I was, I have been tempted but I just think back to what I had become. The sun is shining at the moment and I feel good and want to continue to have the sun in my life."

The war still goes on but the enemy does get weaker everyday.

    Take care of you
    Love Mollypollyxxxx

Dh just called, he is having a blood test next week and they are going to do lots of tests (the doc said a sort of MOT) they are testing for the ulcer and also for kidney/liver function, diabetes and more....I actually wish I could get this done myself, as I would like to know how I would score on those things.....

A massive well done to MollyPolly on her achievement - think of all the money you have saved MP!! well done you :T
