    OMG!!!!

I just went through my emails and I had got message from national lottery saying that I had funds in my account. I haven't used this account for over two years at least so was a bit baffled. Managed to log on and can you believe it - I had a tenner in there and now it is on its way to my bank account. Woohoo!!!! Perhaps I should go and also check all the cash back sites and survey sites to see if I have any money lurking in any of them.

  • Thanks Honeybear.....

I too watched strictly...and managed most of a bottle of half price dry white. It's mad really as i feel carp and I'm sure I've picked up a bug. Recycled air in an airplane prob hasnt helped!

Didnt get that job I went for before hols, but have an interview lined up for Weds morning for yet another job I would like......got meet with the agency on Tuesday so I'm pledging Monday night AF and Tuesday AF..... Wont be easy....it's so hard to get out of holiday mode especially when I havent had a job to come back to...

But logging back on here gives me more determination than i would have had before...

    xx
  • Gromit, sorry about the other job but best of luck with the interview :)

Think I'd best call it a night as this has taken a few edits before posting as I'm too tired to get things right! :o

Hi all- hope things are going OK.

Jo, sorry to hear about your test results- I had that too, and raised ALT's (whatever they are?). My GP told me really nicely, and sent me to a consultant who wasn't as nice-he just said 'so you've drank so much you've given yourself hepatitis', my GP hadn't told me that hepatitis just means 'inflammation of the liver' and it can be viral or toxin (alcohol). Anyway the good news is that when they told me this I gave up for 3 months and my blood tests came back normal. The bad news is I immediately thought 'hey everythings back to normal I can have a few drinks'....................and of course before I knew it I was back to square one. If you cut down Jo this will really help your liver get back to normal. Hugs.

Someone mentioned smaller feet and thinner face after giving up- this happened to me too- it was fluid retention and puffiness from all the alcohol . People started to comment on my skin/hair/nails etc too, even my tongue changed colour!!! God I must have looked a rough old boiler when I was drinking!!!

Good to see so many old friends returning and so many new people- this thread is brill.

    Hello all,

people keep saying that I have lost weight but I think it is the puffiness in my face that must have gone down . Has anyone else had this experience?

    Morning
After 17/30 there is a definete change in the shape of my 'face' ! Sleep is reducing dark shadows under eyes. Skin is less dry.

Just knock smoking on the head and body will heave a huge sigh of relief. Particularly as reading Marian Keyes is at the moment suggesting the smoking has to go too....
