Your ferry sounds like a real bargain, what are you going to do when you get there?
Don't the machines in Morrisons take a hefty percentage? The more cost effective way may be to get (free) bags from your bank, count out the money then go and pay it in. You could complete a slip to credit the money directly to MBNA, not as nice as holding it of course, but you get to feel virtuous and use the angel :A in your diary!
Have a good evening

Hi CBM
We just bought the cheap ferry fare not sure what we are going to do. We are taking the motorhome so will just spuddle about a bit I expect.
Thanks for the advice about the cash machines at Morrison I will do what you suggets and count the money out. It's all very small change so probably won't be a huge amount will let you know.
I will be an angel.

Hi and welcome to my diary. I am pleased that I give you inspiration I thought other people would find my diary a bit dull.
I am doing well by my standards - I have always been a bit reckless with money so it's hard to change the habit of a lifetime.
I have picked up many tips from other peoples diaries and Claw Back Money has been really helpful to me.
Hope to see you on here again.

Today I bought a birthday present for one the friends I am going out with tonight and by doing it the MSE way I used a Boots voucher for £5 so only paid £3.75 and bought a really nice card from the cheap shop for 59p. Will reuse a gift bag that was given to me on my birthday. The most exciting bit of this is that when I was in the town I didn't buy anything else at all!!!!!! I even manage to park for free. How about that!
I am taking cash out with me tonight so cheap drinks in Spoons first the £10 voucher meal in Prezzos.
Back tomorrow. xxSnowball DF Nov 2017Jan 2011 MBNA £2634.66 Feb £2608.37 Mar £2561.860 -

I have had a very lovely lazy day today.
PAD £5.00

I've still got money left in my purse from last weeks allowance which I am going to keep to one side and if I don't need it next week I will pay it off my MBNA.
Tomorrow I'm going to buy some Christmas drinks at Asda cuz it's only £10 a litre.
Then I MUST do some housework!!! Boring .........Snowball DF Nov 2017Jan 2011 MBNA £2634.66 Feb £2608.37 Mar £2561.860 -
No sign of you so you must be busy with housework. I remember you mentioning a nearly grown up DD, do you have 'little people' around too? If you don't, do you find you're doing less tidying and picking up toys, but more actual cleaning? I can't work out why it should be the case, but the house seems to need doors and skirting boards cleaning way more often than when there were small children in it. Maybe I didn't have time to notice then and it was actually v dirty everywhere
have a good day

I've been to Asda spent £39.89 but £30 was out of my Christmas budget. Then to Aldi - £11.68. PAD 75p loose change in pig.
I have had to do some housework because the house soomn looks messy.
CBM - my daughter who is 18 is very, very untidy and messy. Most of it is confined to her room which I am ashamed of. She is supposed to be cleaning & tidying right now but I can't hear any sounds other than the TV. If she doesn't do it I am not going to give her any lifts at all. I am so frustrated with her but the more I keep on the less she does which I suppose is a normal reaction. I don't know how she can enjoy being in her room with clothes all over the floor and the bin overflowing.
Sorry if this is a bit of a rant but she really winds me up by being so slovenly and lazy at home when she isn't at college or in her part time job.
I don't have any little ones at home thank goodness! But now I wear my glasses more and more I think I can see the dirt more!!
When I've finished got to help OH with his books so that he can get his tax return in on time.
Not the best way to spend a Sunday.
back later when I get a chance to sit down.Snowball DF Nov 2017Jan 2011 MBNA £2634.66 Feb £2608.37 Mar £2561.860 -

Hi PBH
Your DD sounds just like mine except that mine is older than yours - 22! Her bedroom is such a tip I don't know how she sleeps in it. Every so often she has a blitz and cleans up but within a day it's back to mess again. I hate going in there. She has two excuses for not doing anything - it's either her day off or she's been at work. So I can totally empathise with you on this one!
Well done in Asda. I go to Aldi once a week to stock up on fruit and veg - it's so cheap. I make a batch of soup every Sunday to last me all week at work for lunch and the flavour usually revolves around whatever is on offer in Aldi.
You are doing really well with your diary and I love reading it as it keeps me motivated.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
My DD is nearly 23 and I've found a solution to her messiness - she doesn't live at home!
She went to live with scumbag BF and when that didn't work out found she had a circle of friends, job etc, so has stayed put. DD living elsewhere are a whole new set of things to worry about! She is coming home for a few days soon, and I imagine that she'll have her complete bedroom ankle deep in clutter within hours of arriving. PBH & Sun Addict - I know what you mean, its a mess that can really wear you down isn't it.
