TINKERBELLSMUM can i ask for recipes for your brunch wrap, HM breakfast bar and breakfast strata pls?
    Banana Lovers
Buy your bananas in bunches of 5 on Sunday. Then arrange them in order of ripeness and write a day of the week on each banana in felt pen, Monday on the ripest, Friday on the greenest to save time making those decisions on a hectic weekday morning

If you get chance, could you post your recipe for your homemade stuffing balls? I haven't had a go at homemade ones yet and would love a tried and tested recipe.
    Many thanks,
    honey x

    Hiya,

I have no quantities i'm afraid as just bunged it all in until it looked and felt right! I just used fresh breadcrumbs, dried sage, 1 egg and an onion (that I chopped quite finely and popped in the microwave with some water for a minute or so). Mix it all up and season and then roll into balls.

I tried one that night when I had the oven on and it was really nice, so hoping they'll be even nicer with a proper roast! I'm easily pleased :p

Penny-Pincher - I quite agree - no matter what I put on my mealplan I always end up wanting Boodle's instead! :(

    Anyway, here's mine:
Tonight - dunno. Possibly something from the freezer or maybe a takeaway :o - I've been running a work function today and I'm feeling a little low on energy and inspiration! (Yep, it's a takeaway - PH pizza is on its way.
    :o:o)
Saturday - sausage and green lentil casserole with green cabbage
Sunday - minted lamb chop (last one from a pack I bought at the butcher's at the start of the summer) with cabbage and potatoes
    Monday - hm minestrone soup
Tuesday - out visiting a family friend all day; possibly some leftover soup in the evening if I'm hungry when I get home
Wednesday - bacon, roast chicken and pesto risotto (the last of the rubber chicken from last weekend, from the freezer)
Thursday - 4 cheese stuffed pasta (from the freezer - I'd forgotten it was even there! :o) with courgette and tomato sauce

    Have a nice week, peeps!
Back after a very long break!

  • Here's mine for the week :)

Saturday: Pasta all'Amatriciana with garlic bread
Sunday: Italian style sub sandwiches with salad (leftover Amatriciana sauce to make hot tomato, garlic, bacon and cheese sandwiches ... mmm)
Monday: Thai Sweet Chilli and Coconut Chicken with Noodles (packet mix to use up)
Tuesday: At Mum's, so will grab something there
    Wednesday: Spanish Omelette
    Thursday: Beef Stroganoff
    Friday: Crispy Chicken Fajitas
Saturday: Having a load of friends over, so I'll make a massive jambalaya
    Sunday: At Relatives

Lunches will be sandwiches or leftovers, failing that soups. I bought some leeks off the markets (went halves with a colleague so got 4 big leeks - there were 8 in the pack - for 50p) Result :D So, I'll be making a batch of leek and potato soup today too. Desserts, well there are some bramble crumbles in the freezer, and some plums stewed with a bit of ginger that I've frozen. All I have to do is break off what I need and have it with some tinned rice pudding ... mmm

I don't usually eat breakfast, but DH does. It'll be cereal for him :)

Lovely to read everyone's mealplans - I do get some good ideas :D

Back to my favourite thread! I like to think I'm learning when I read, BUT maybe I'm just nosey...;)
~As before most of the veg is home grown and some of the fruit... I'm beginning to resemble a plum (makes a change from a tomato)

Fri - Sea Bass fillets griddled, new pots, courgettes, runner beans, carrots, hm frozen plum yogurt + raspberries from friends garden
Sat - lunch - veg soup - plums
eve - tomato tart tatin- plums
Sun - lunch - Sat soup 4 me, OH & DD crumpets & cheese- plums
    eve - veggie couscous- plums
Mon - slow cooker sausage cass with veg thrown in - plums
Tue - Spanish Omellette, salad- plums
    Wed - Chops (+quorn 4 me) + veg- plums
Thurs - Pies for them (STILL using these - left over from OH's real ale and pie party 5 weeks ago!) hm tom sauce with pasta 4 me- plums:eek:

puds are still yogurt & fruit, or maybe our new venture - frozen yog!
I'm a fruit and yog lunchtime addict at work, OH & DD are more your sarnie/toast/filled roll/crackers & cheese types.

Only joking about the plums - sometimes I have windfall apples instead!:D

PS - Boodle, can I come to live with you one week? So many delish sounding meals..
