First plus response to claim

At long last I have received today a further response from FP. In it their customer relations man says he is looking into it and I can expect a final response by 14 december 2009. Hopefully this relates to my PPI claim and not the fact that I complained over their failure to respond. He has clearly not read my original letter though, as he says I can refer this to the FOS, but I already have done!
Has anyone received a similar letter when recaliming PPI?

Advice very welcome please.

To be honest Sunny I am starting to loose track! I think and hope it is, and also hope they will come back with the refund, however as I have referred it to the FOS, others here tell me FP won't talk now and will only do it through the FOS

Tired, confused, but still battling!
