Morning :hello:. Feeling happy today. Nothing major happening - will find a house to view later on today. Apart from that I think just a chilling day. :T. Oh - nearly forgot, am trying out Sainsburys internet shopping so must remember they are coming around later.
Nothing exciting in the weekly email this week for me - except all your lovely 12 week challenges.
See ya later.

Hi
Not having a good few days.
Went back to hairdresser today as she had made my hair ridiculously blonde and now it is stupidly dark - I think the lights down there must be rubbish as it looked ok there.
Stupid bank manager phone whilst I was out despite me saying pm. Message say will phone back pm but .....
Then I've had a letter from collections at A&L saying - charging order? What does that mean please and what do I do?0 -
Trust me to pick a quiet day.
I really can't see an end to all this.0 -
Bookie - a Charging Order is where they secure the debt on your house. Basically when you sell your house they get their money back (not sure if they can add interest or not). They can force a sale but only in special circumstances I think. I would check out National Debtlines website to see if they have a factsheet and also pm RAS or Rog2 or Fermi as if you can avoid a charging order then so much the better and sometimes they can be successfully argues against and more so if they don't follow the correct procedure.

Edit found the link to the Charging Orders factsheet but you def. need to Pm one of the above MSE'rs.

Bookie - http://www.debtquestions.co.uk/legal_chargingorders.php - worth a read to check they are doing things properly, especially:When can a lender apply for a charging order?
Before a court will consider an application for a charging order, the lender must have issued a county court judgement and you must have failed to make payments on that judgement or not paid the judgement according to the requirements of the court.
Are you still getting CCCS to deal with it all though, if so pass it on to them I think?Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Hello all, just a random question. How do i know if a company has gone bankrupt or bust or into liquidation we had a marquee at our wedding and still owe 1500 or less however we have had no invoice and we cant get hold of them we are ringing and its just ringing ? should we try and call the nearest place to the company im getting concerned that if they have gone bust we will have a demanding letter from a court requiring our cash asap ? any advice ?
forget the above i have finally had news we still have tp pay darn itthey have been busy with shows phew

I'm not sure you should pass it on to them as I'm not sure they can get involved in disputing the debt and any actions from it - I think they would just acknowledge it - think I've heard that somewhere. I think you need to be more proactive with this one- sorry.
Also is it a generic we could do this or that or the other type threat or is it an application?have they got an interim charging order? Would need to know more info. Would also start a new thread on it as you need to get the right advice on it.

There must be a regsiter of some sort to say if a company has gone into liquidation/bankruptcy but not sure where it is. Also these thinkgs can take ages to sort out so I would try not to worry too much yet, but as I said start a new thread.
Best of Luck getting an answer.
