I sold a print dress that had small butterflies all over it - The customer asked for a refund a few days later, as she was unhappy that one of the butterflies was right on her n*pple and thought this to be unacceptable and rude???
Explained that would not offer refund as not my fault. She said that she thought it should be clearly described where the butterflies would be positioned??? So am I expected to know exactly where my customers n*pples are??????

You should just have told her to keep it, it wouldnt be in a year or 2.

The one about the guy being drunk, I've bought a couple of vehicles when under the influence but always completed (it's not the sellers fault).

I sold a suit which was a skirt and top in a size 12, but the skirt was elasticated and would fit a size 10-16, the buyer emailed me to say could she just keep the top as she had put on weight since bidding for the item?!?!?

It was a 7 day listing and she had gone from a size 12 to a size 16+?? :)

I sold a handbag and the woman who bought it tried to get a refund and left negative feed back because the white on it didn't match the blouse she was going to use it with.

That made me laugh out loud! Thanks for cheering me up :rotfl:

  • I had a lady bought a pair of used sandals from me for 99p! She then emailed me with every mark on them - I just refunded the 99p, I couldn't be bothered arguing with her. These are sad people! What do they expect......
  • Not quite an excuse but I once had a geat 'question to seller' for a book I was selling called "Anxiety for Dummies". The question was, "Do you think this would be suitable for my brother?"

I dint know what to say. I thought about replying "Yes, if he is as mental as you" but I held together my professional dignity and refrained.
