Funniest Lie To Try Get a Refund??

  • Not so long ago I had someone contact me to say that he couldn't pay for the item he had purchased from me, as it was actually his wife that had bid for the item and she had just been killed in a hit-and-run

I may have had some sympathy had he not then gone on to purchase a massive LCD TV and a load of DVD's that very same day - maybe they were to get him through the grieving process?! He still managed to pay and leave feedback for those items though, very brave of him!

I couldn't bring myself to question him on it though so just gave in and withdrew the auction...

No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

I sold a print dress that had small butterflies all over it - The customer asked for a refund a few days later, as she was unhappy that one of the butterflies was right on her n*pple and thought this to be unacceptable and rude???
Explained that would not offer refund as not my fault. She said that she thought it should be clearly described where the butterflies would be positioned??? So am I expected to know exactly where my customers n*pples are??????

:rotfl: A cat that can put a price in, click bid and then confirm it.... She could make a fortune out of that cat :D

My cat did once manage to shut down my laptop. He jumped onto my lap for osme attention and must have stood on Ctrl Alt & Del then on the S and finally Return.

By the time I had finished laughing he was long gone.

Somebody's cat once walked over the keyboard and bid for a dress that I was selling  The lady was really apologetic and said that the cat doesn't normally go near the computer table... I started to believe her in the end :rotfl:
That cat has bid and paid for a few of my items too so it has a paypal account . I got an email saying the cat had walked over the computer and bid. So I replied it also used her paypal account and :rotfl:- I never heard from her again. I even had the reply to the neg I thought I would get. But her cat hasn't worked out how to leave feedback:T
  • I had someone "Buy It Now" on quite a few items really late one night, I sent them their invoice as normal. The next afternoon I got an e-mail from the guy who bought them, apologising like crazy saying he bought them all the night before when he was really drunk and could hardly remember even getting online! He bought 15 Spider-Man comics apparently because his friend said Batman was better than Spider-Man and he disagreed and bought all the comics for his friend. Then the next morning realised he had no money. It was pretty funny and he was very, very polite about it so I agreed to a mutual cancellation. Made my day :rotfl:

i sell some pearl heart for card making , had one buyer but a pack , left me postitive feedback ,

she bought another pack , sent me a email later , which seemed very over melo dramatic to me , saying they were nearly all broke and how could i do this to people , sending them broken items ......it was 99p , youd have thought i just stole her life saving , told her if they wer damaged it was the post offices fault and she should take the issue up with them , i wont send out broken good as the would be bad for business and im not that stupid , she then claimed it was my fault , because of the way they wer packaged , i then pointed out that they were packaged exactly the same as the first set she got and she didnt complain about that , she started a paypal dispute , i told her to return the broken item for a full refund , she said "what you want me to return them , cant you take my word for it" , i told her no , she didnt take my word that they wernt sent out broke , needless to say i never ever recieved the broken hearts and she never got a refund , though still left negative feedback

if she had of been polite i would have popped another in the post for her as i had loads

its just a case of people trying it on to get something for free , and ebay should not allow it , why should i get bad feedback when i offered to refund her , she didnt take it in the end , not my fault

Generally depends if the bra is on or off...
  • Somebody asked for a refund off me and left negative feedback saying 'The skirt listed was not knee length, it was longer'
I had clearly stated in the listing that the skirt was knee length on me, but I am 6 foot tall and to message me if they need any measurements!
Some people really need to read things. I refused the refund as it was not my fault they didn't read it and they had already left negative before messaging me about the refund!
