Funniest Lie To Try Get a Refund??

I was just wondering if anyone had any funny stories about buyers, trying to get a refund on an item when its blatently obvious that the excuse they have made up is not true??
At the beginning of the year I decided to sell all of my Me To You bears, including one which was only a few months old. The buyer won it for about £2.00 which was a very good deal for a £16.00 bear. I received an email about 3 weeks after I sent it saying "The teddy smells funny". I replied "Excuse me, can you please explain in more detail". They replied, again saying that it had a funny smell to it. I asked what the smell was like and they said "i dunno, maybe a gingery smell?". ?! I replied telling them to use febreeze or wash the item if it was that much of a problem (i knew for a fact that they were lying as it was well packaged in fresh packaging, it was pretty much new, and there is nothing in my room to cause a "smell"). They replied saying they had put it in the washer and it still had the "gingery" smell. I just ignored them in the end and I never got any bad feedback.
Some people. Lol.

I sold a handbag and the woman who bought it tried to get a refund and left negative feed back because the white on it didn't match the blouse she was going to use it with.If At First You Don't Succeed, Call It Version 1.0

Somebody's cat once walked over the keyboard and bid for a dress that I was selling  The lady was really apologetic and said that the cat doesn't normally go near the computer table... I started to believe her in the end :rotfl:0

:rotfl: A cat that can put a price in, click bid and then confirm it.... She could make a fortune out of that cat

Tell me about it- apparently it wanted to go outside and the computer was near the back door so it was weaving across the keyboard  It gave me a laugh and it was so OTT that I didn't even open a NPB against her

Well, some people take the cat problem seriously - or maybe not. I can't work out if this is for real...

not on ebay, but i did know someone who would buy something in a shop, take the receipt back in to the same shop and pick another item up from a display on the way in and return it saying it didn't fit/whatever, getting a refund and keeping the item.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession

I sold a print dress that had small butterflies all over it - The customer asked for a refund a few days later, as she was unhappy that one of the butterflies was right on her n*pple and thought this to be unacceptable and rude???
Explained that would not offer refund as not my fault. She said that she thought it should be clearly described where the butterflies would be positioned??? So am I expected to know exactly where my customers n*pples are??????0 -
I got neutral feedback because a top of mine I sold didn't fit the purchaser and fit her 9 year old instead! She said I should have advertised as a childs top, when it wasn't,she was just too big for it,not my fault!!
