I just bought some M&Ms from Tesco and although I tend to always check dates on packets these days,
Really????
How long does your shopping take?
This site must be nightmare inducing to youThis is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.0 -
I really wish so many people wouldn't be so patronising and rude when people ask questions like this - why don't you just either ignore him totally or tell him he hasn't got a case against Tesco or anyone else and to stop making an issue out of nothing. It would be more polite.
I can understand why people lose patience with posts like these though. There is nothing magic about a Best Before date and I admit I've got several tins of Quality Street left over from last Christmas! They should have been used by June according to the tin - but there is no way I'm binning them (although I wouldn't give them to anyone else as a present).
I've only ever taken back fresh stuff thats been sold after its use by date - I had some sausages last year from Tesco that were a week out of date and they were very helpful and gave me my money back plus some new sausages. They told me that was their standard practice.ELITE 5:2

I'm not a him, I'm a woman. But I'm amazed how a post about some M&Ms got so many people talking and taking the mick out of me. Okay, so checking dates on food may not be that exciting, but it beats coming on here to belittle other poeple like myself.... Just Keep Swimming ...0

Because what we really want to do to a dikwad like the OP is to give her a slap with a wet fish.
Some people think they deserve thousands in compo because they feel they have been wronged.
The OP needs a good kicking but as we can't do it physically, a good e-kicking will have to suffice.Beware of imitations e.g. Robert Sterling0 -
Lol!!! Only on MSE could someone be worthy of a good kicking for asking about out of date sweets.

Okay, a kicking maybe a bit extreme, but at least as good Shoeing like George Bush had!!Beware of imitations e.g. Robert Sterling0

I get the idea, but I thought this is a place to share opinions, ask questions, give advice etc - there's no need to act like kids getting thrills from bullying in a playground!... Just Keep Swimming ...0

But it does provide us with some entertainment.
Now imagine if OP had been with a group of friends would the responses have been any different. I doubt it. The responses would probably range from "are you from another planet" to "oh how dreadful for you, lets have a hug".
No different than on here.
I just get really hacked off when I have found that piece of Brie down the back of the counter and it is just perfect but because it is 2 weeks out of date they won't sell it to me.............
Are they not doing away with some sell by dates?0 -

Sorry Caz (for taking you for a man - don't know why I did that!).
I don't think you've got a case - but I really hate it when people get so much rudeness and snide remarks when they ask. There are polite ways of saying 'you've got no chance' - but this rudeness happens all the time now.ELITE 5:2
