I honestly can't beleive how people would get worked up enough over something as trivial as this that they actually post for advice on a forum!!!!
Eat them/don't eat them take them back fo a refund!! there's your choices.
from the tone of your post it looks like you are looking for something more than that tho, seriously weigh this up in the grand scale of things...
  • lol, put a small creature and a razor blade in the packet and go nationwide with your protest ;-)
  • You could go to the papers, claiming they could have killed you and your children from some sort of rare 'Out of date chocolate' disease, forcing evil Tesco to pay you millions of £££££'s, and possibly bankrupting them in the process, (but hey...its their own fault right?!)

...or you could stop being a fusspot. Take them back on your next shopping visit, and they will apologise and replace them for you.

I bought a pack of eight different muesli's (mini boxes) in Asda. It wasn't until I had got home and shredded my receipt that I noticed the boxes were already out of date (by about a month or so). I cursed myself for not checking the date while I was there, (I normally do) and ate the muesli anyway. It was very tasty.

The next time I was in Asda (a couple of weeks later) I checked the shelf and the same batch of out of date muesli was still there so I called a member of staff over and pointed it out. Just for their information really.
They cleared the shelf and gave me a five pound gift card whci I thought was very nice as I had already had my muesli.

I expect it's quite difficult to do stock rotation in a large supermarket and the use by dates are very conservative.

  • I had about 6 pints of lager on Sunday, followed by the hottest spiciest pizza I could find from a well known take away company.

I spent most of Monday on the bog.

Should I complain to the Pizza place or the pub first?

The pizza company have been negligent by not disclaiming that eating their product after overindulging in alcohol could possibly cause upset stomach, nausea, brain damage or even death. I'm taking an educated guess that you have a phobia of round things? This has obviously caused your nausea, making the pizza shop negligent as they failed to tell you that its products may be that shape. Sue them for assuming you would have known these particular facts.

The pub is grossly negligent for not advising you not to eat too much pizza after drinking, ...Also note that lager is a liquid, therefore there is a drowning risk, and also yellow in colour...which may offend those who don't like the colour yellow. Due to its fizziness, there is also a slight risk that those with a carbon dioxide allergy may feel unwell after drinking. Were you informed of all these facts before they sold you the lager? Didn't think so.....Get them sued too.

If you are not happy in the future, I suggest you spend your Sundays indulging on bread & water (although the said water may present the aforementioned drowning risk).

....they'd probably do that in America anyway

  • Thanks for that. Sounds like I am on to a winner....

I forgot to mention that all those fags that I smoked gave me a really sore throat too.......

Again, not good enough. The cigarette packets simply state that smoking will kill you, not that it may/may not cause a sore throat.

Also, isn't tobacco a plant? This makes it a vegetable, therefore should have a best before date. Naughty naughty fag companies.

Hic Hic Hic. Now I am sure that lager was out of date as well, or was it the salt on the peanuts
