Please help test and take part in the Consumer Rights Quiz

Options
Hi all

We've launched a new Consumer Rights quiz today, with questions from Consumer Direct as part of National Consumer Week. It'd be great if you'd let us know what you think and report back how many you get :)

    12 out of 12 :D

Although I'd imagine that even without a decent knowledge of SOGA and the DSR's, getting 11 correct would be quite easy with the way the answers are worded (i.e. the answers jump out at you)...
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

I got 10 right. Got the 1st wrong (thought you could take back for an exchange) and Question 8 but to be honest I wasn't sure if it was 7 or 28 days.

It is not illegal to open another persons mail unless you intend to commit fraud - this is frequently incorrectly posted:)
    I live in my head - I find it's safer there:p
  • I got 11/12 and got the first question wrong! But I think the 4th question (the one about white goods) should be amended so that the question reads that you bought the white goods new (as opposed to secondhand).
    Watch this space...

11 out of 12, and got confused over question 5:

You agreed for a double glazing salesman to visit your home yesterday and you signed a contract. On reflection you realise that you might have been a bit hasty and you've committed yourself to something you can't afford. Where do you stand?

It doesn't make it clear whether you signed the contract when you made the appointment (i.e. not at home), or you signed it at home when the guy then came round.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

    Does it really matter?
