Its pretty hard to keep up sometimes on the chat...I just muscle my way in until someone talks to me but I have a theory that only 3 'thought's can be going on here at any one time - so if another one appears then something gets muscled out (not intentionally) - any more than 3 and it gets too confusing for everyone...

What I'm trying to say badly is - dont take it personally, sometimes stuff gets missed...

What do you do by the way? Any chance of a conference or something to meet more people in the field that you dont work with directly??

I work for the local Council and that is another thing, I work in a team of my own, so can feel isolated at work as well.

Blimey I am coming across as a right saddo. I have a lovely daughter who is my best friend and we get on very well. I do have other friends that I see - usually round here, so I am not completely on my own!

Have a bit of 'head about to explode-itus' tonight. Lots to do. Lots and lots.

Tenmah, sorry, I wasn't online yesterday so hadn't read your post. Hang in there hun, I speak from experience when I say it gets better - and it's that thought that is keeping me going today. I know this pain is transient...it will probably be replaced by anger (and sadly, Pringles :o), then just a kind of vague sadness, and then, when I realise I haven't thought about him for a few days/weeks, I will know I am on the mend.

The added confusion today really hasn't helped, but sometimes, when you are at rock bottom, something else hurting you just a little bit more can be the kick you need to start to pull yourself out of it.

I've fought too hard this year to cope with being single and get over heartbreak, and I'm not going to let a man ruin the life I have now, which I do actually quite like most of the time.

Thanks Snaggles - I guess I am feeling really down at the moment - when someone finishes with you by text after four and a half years, it hurts. i want to sleep and wake up when the hurt has gone.

Mmm tea and hobnobs sounds good!

No, not council tax. I am the Adaptations Co-ordinator and oversee the whole process for providing adaptations for disabled council tenants.

Oh wow that must be really rewarding knowing that you are making someones life so much easier by the work you do!!!

Bet its frustrating at times though - councils are usually a law unto themselves ;)

It wasn't so much things get missed - it was that no-one seemed to talk to me directly!

It is quite hard to post when everyone knows each other so well, and I did keep trying. Sorry now I sound whiny, but I hope you know what I mean

It is sooo rewarding, people are always saying what a difference we have made to their lives (and sometimes it is something small like lever taps) and then there are others who are never grateful, no matter what you do for them!

It is frustrating when there is not enough budget, but thankfully this year we seem to be doing okay, money wise, so I haven't had to say no to too many people!
