I have either made the day of a group of lads playing footie on the hill behind our flat or I have scarred them for life... Was stripping off for quick shower in preparation for tonight while Nathan naps. Third floor flat so you'd think no problem to have curtains open right? Wrong! They got a full frontal and rear view before I realised they could see me:o:o:o:eek::o:o:o
That image will have gone straight into their w4nk tank for later Lucifa!

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

the boss of whichever bank it is...

    Dear Mr Chairman

I currently owe your bank £50k. However, I no longer have an income following the help that your bank failed to give me during my final days as a sole trader. I have therefore called your Indian automated call centre daily to arrange to make my payment arrangement of £1 per month for the next 600 years.

Despite my persistent calls I am constantly bombarded with computer generated letters that tell me I am ignoring your requests to pay this debt off.

Twice, some speccy four eyed bank manager has made an appointment to telephone me, the first time was whilst I was still in business and so as to save the embarressment of informing the [STRIKE]whole of Leicester [/STRIKE] one customer who would probably walk in just as I was admitting to my failure I closed the shop....Obviously the manager lost my phone number as he didn't call.

Today at 4pm was the second appt......I am still waiting.

I am assuming therefore you are not really serious about negotiating with me over this debt so lets just call it quits huh!

    Yours sincerely

    blah blah blah

Bookie have you tried phoning him? I would get straight on and say you won't hang up until you speak to him as he has missed your appt AGAIN

Yeah, at least it'll be fun and no pressure. She asked if I had any language qualifications (I think she'd got to know me by then!) but nothing since GCSE 12 years ago. I got A's in French and German though, so Italian should be ok. I tried learning Russian at uni, but the grammar was sooooo complicated, I could understand stuff but just couldn't compose. Although I want to learn to read Russian so I can read some of my favourite books in the original, so I've been meaning to get my old books out again and give it a go. Maybe I could have a 'language' day a week.

Oh, and best of all, they gave me a full week's timetable, since I've only got something in one square I can use it to plan my 12 week goals!
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.
  • Sounds like I'm not the only one having a bad day around here. Oh Lucifa - that made me laugh - right cheered up now.
    Not much happening around here;
waiting for estate agents to call as they can't decide whether they have a tenant in their property after not finding it on their list because it's so new and now can't get hold of said tenant that they don't know whether they have or not. Why don't they sort these things out before advertising? Would ignore them but really need a new prop. and other estate agents appear to be equally useless. Hmmmmm.
Waiting for doctors IT bod to call me as I can't access their online booking/prescription thing even though I'm 99% sure it's the receptionists fault for not adding me to it properly.
Waiting for BHS website to finish updating so I can order some trousers as I can't do it over the phone apparently and website is broken.
Not sure what else I am waiting for - bored of it now.
