Should an ebay item be clean and washed?

Most have removable covers. How about putting the cover in the wash and using the hose on the plastic frame in the garden? Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

If you quote me, don't forget the capital 'M'

theres nowt so queer as folk!! I have received many items that were described as in excellent condition and covered in yellow sweat stains and dirt down a dress!
in this case I agree with pinkshoes, just blast it clean and DEFINITELY leave a negative to warn others.
Unfortunately not everyone as the same standards of hygiene0 -
I also had bought a vegetable cutting board from ebay a couple of months back. When I got it home, i was really shocked to see its condition. It almost looked like a second hand material. The quality was so poor, when I wrote back to the seller they were not at all responding.I mailed her and she replied saying this is the item that I have seen on the site. And no communications after that, that really annoys me for getting scammed.0

Another vote for the negative. You would have thought they would have cleaned it up before taking photos and listing! Well I would of anyway.0

Can I just point out that you should NEVER buy a second hand car seat, as you dont know if they have ever been in an accident and therefore damaged and unsafe:cool::heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0

Likewise - I worked for Halfords for a few years when I left school, and after being on the Britax and Klippan product training, seeing the difference in safety performance between a new seat, and one that has been in a previous accident is horrifying. Really horrifying.
At one stage there was a campaign from the manufacturers to try to prohibit the sale of pre-owned seats, but I do not beleive anything came of it in the end.
Where the metal clips hold the belts in place will often only survive one accident, or even an accidental drop on the floor - the plastic around them can be weakened enough to fail after a second impact.
With the low value and attitude displayed from the seller, I'd vote for a neg as well. It should never have been sent in that state, and an offer of refund and apology is too little, too late IMO.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
Can you file a case for not as described. Good condition would mean clean to most people. I would also say you were robbed on postage too. Add that to the neg if is cost £15 to get and will cost £9 to return.
If my maths are correct, you will pay out another £9 but should get £16 back. Doing nothing you get nothing back. That is if you used Paypal.0 -
Latest update - seller has said they will refund what I have paid and I can bin the item rather than waste more money on return postage but only on condition I do not leave negative feedback. They won't just refund but have made me raise a dispute through paypal (presume this is so they get their fees back) and now say it will take 5-7 days as they don't have enough money in their paypal account.
